Red sky!

I am almost at the end of my big tidy in my craft room although I have now decided that I probably need to look into some of the boxes that hold ephemera from some of our trips….I could be a while!!

As my desk was quite clear (and hubby was watching a very old Western on TV) I decided to make a journal page!

There are couple of challenges that I would like to enter too!
It's in one of my A6 journals. I used a combination of water colour and Paper Artsy Infusions to make the background and stamped the swirly stems from Lavinia Stamps and then PA's Elenazinskiart leaf.
After colouring them in with some ancient Tombow pens I added some PA Pearl Glaze over the leaf and flowers.
They are 'standing' on a piece of tape that I had transferred some paint I had used up on some black paper. I tore the tape to get a rough edge. I added some Hickory Smoke DI around the page. Finally, some black paint spatters and the words from 2 different Sarah Naumann sets.

I would like to enter in

Art Journal Journey's new challenge 'Fifty Shades Of Red', chosen by LindaK

A Vintage Journey where the new challenge is Words That Are Special- I have combined two words as both of these are relevant to how I make my journal pages!

Craft Stamper - Take It - Make It Challenge  - Anything Goes

Thanks for looking. Chris

Great page. It almost feels like a scene from some devastating event. And the colors aren't sad, but make me happy. Glad you are making such headway on your project. That is good! Hugs-Erika

This is stunning. I really enjoyed it. I especially enjoyed the flowers and your stamping.

Was delighted to read you have nearly finished your clean up and am looking forward to seeing what you find in your ephemera from your various trips. I can see many pages in the future!

I really love the infusions. I would love to find them here in the States.

This looks like a futuristic landscape Chris, love it. Background colours look stunning together.
Glad the tidy up is going well, it's something I really must do but when I start I get sidetracked with what I find and then I 'forget' to continue the tidy up!

You were busy - great that you managed all the clean up in your studio.. that's always a great new load of inspiration for every artist! I love your amazing page Chris!
Thank you for being with us at AJJ for Linda's theme!
I am sure you will manage to use more red --even it is not your color..
I also am not a red girl ..but a challenge always brings me to use and do things I wouldn't have and I learn from every new challenge.
