T Stands For ….more Edinburgh ...

….my style this time! Hubby kindly let me use his photos yesterday as mine were still on my phone.
I am joining Bleubeard and Elizabeth for T stands for Tuesday. I know it's late in the day but I've been getting my 2015 Summer Photography Scavenger Hunt photos ready. I realise now that I could have posted as I went along as Elizabeth has (it was at Elizabeth's blog that I found out about the Scavenger Hunt way back last year)It has taken me ages to find some of the photos again as hubby has re-organised the photo folders!!!
My Edinburgh photos however are now ready to show you!
Despite being a little bit poorly for the first part of our visit we had a wonderful time and it didn't stop us from visiting the castle, some lovely old buildings that have been turned into Museums and a walk, a very steep walk, up to get a view of the city.

I love the crown on this lamp post near Holyrood Palace
The parliament building had carved quotations along one wall

Our hotel
We visited St Giles Cathedral twice - once on the first evening when the weather was dull and also on our last day when the sun shone…for a special reason
You probably know by now that I love Stained Glass windows!

Goodbye Scotland!
Well not quite, I haven't showed you my drink..
..a very healthy water with a very unhealthy Mac-cheese.. delicious though!!

I am hoping that some of you will forgive me for not visiting very often, I have decided not to become anxious about this - I will visit when I can, but my comments will be brief until I catch up!

Thank you for your kind comments and Thank you for looking, Chris

I have had the worst time finding time to visit, so I totally understand your inability to visit all the time. I love the photos, and I especially like the stained glass. The photos are wonderful.

I read somewhere a LONG time ago that J. K. Rowling was so poor, she wrote her Harry Potter books in cafes. Looks like this was one she wrote in!

That mac and cheese looks wonderful. Truly comfort food at its best.

Thanks for sharing the photos and the stained glass of Edinburgh, and thanks for sharing your water and meal with us for T this Tuesday. Yes, it's still Tuesday where I live!

That castle is magnificent. Beautiful pictures of everything. Can see why you wanted to go back to the church on a bright day. Nothing like stained glass and sunshine! Don't be anxious. Visit whenever you can. Happy T-Day! :)

I remember the walk to the castle very well! I loved that castle and all the history within. We stayed at a bed and breakfast and my most favorite meal was breakfast. She made the most delicious oatmeal - in a crock pot I think and there were always oak cakes on the table. I loved those oak cakes. Your pictures are wonderful!

Stunning photos!!!! The castle is amazing and I"m sure the walk was very steep. I remember climbing to the top of a light house once and being so out of breath and light headed when we finally got up there I thought I was going to pass out :)

I haven't had mac and cheese in years, sure looks good.

Thanks for the comment....the corks? Well, I use them for many different things, but mostly to fill that bowl....LOL

Wonderful photos of such a wonderful city. There is always so much to see and do in Edinburgh no matter the time of the year. A pity you were poorly at the beginning of your trip.

I love Edinburgh - a city in which I've spent some very happy summers. Lovely to re-see it through your camera lens - brilliant photo of the glass colours on the floor of the church - and I'm glad you recovered enough to make the most of not only Edinburgh but also that delicious looking macaroni cheese!
