Hi everyone, our new theme is 'Keep It Simple' at Try It On Tuesday - I could have gone to the CAS side but as I am preparing my Travel Journal I decided to make myself some easy backgrounds for my small journal.
Take a look here at what our Design Team have been making.
This is how I started
I used some scraps from my little pencil case.
I sorted them into similar colours, then using some wide double sided tape I stuck them on randomly
The edges were trimmed on this one
I used some Tulip cuttings from a magazine for another strip
You can see my pencil case here too.
I used some for a page in my planner but the rest will be in my travel kit.
I added some flower stickers and more scraps from my bag.
I hope you will join us this time at TIOT whether your entry is CAS or something simple to make.
The coffee...for T Stands for Tuesday...hosted by Bleubeard and Elizabeth...
...where hubby is totally ignoring my requests for a smile! This on our latest shopping trip to Marks and Spencers - we had a scone each as it had been a long time since breakfast.Just a quick few pics to show how the lovely sunny weather has encouraged the flowers to grow at Styal Mill
I am hoping that the little birds on my page are suitable for Art Journal Journey where Neet has her 'It Must Have Wings' theme.
Thanks for looking, Chris

How clever Chris and what a beautiful result, these will be fabulous for journaling. Thanks so much for having me as a guest designer at TIoT.

What a great way to use your scraps. That page in your journal with the bird is perfect for Neet's theme at AJJ, too. It's adorable.
Your hubby looks engrossed in his phone. If he isn't careful, I'm going to steal that scone (grin).
Thanks for the great journal page, the flowers in bloom, your scones, and your coffees you shared with us for T this Tuesday, dear Chris.
Great idea this page!! Beautiful flowers!!!
Hugs Elke
Wowsers Chris! LOVE that idea of using scraps and double sided tape! And LOVE all you flowers!!! (and my hubby wouldn't smile if I asked either! LOL!). Great daily journal spread as well! ((HUGS)) Helen
What a fabulous post Chris. Those flowers are gorgeous, and I like the ignoring you husband shot. And your backgrounds are wonderful. Nice and simple but very pretty. And that bird page definitely works for Neet's challenge at AJJ. Thanks for joining in. I hope all is well with you! hugs-Erika

Oh, my hubby would smile, and raise his glass, I don't think I have many photos of him, without a glass! Love the flowers and pictures, my favourite is the bird in the cage, and your making of the strips for junk journaling. Happy T for Tuesday Day! ((Lyn))
Lovely way to make your own pretty tape!
The flowers are gorgeous. :)

What a great idea to use scraps on double sided tape. Your 'strips' look great.
Thanks for the flowers. They are so beautiful! There even were black tulips!
I'm getting really hungry now after seeing Erika's ice cream, Jo's cheese cake and now your scone.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
So, you made your own Washi tape? Clever. Your flowers are just beautiful and I want a scone. Happy T Day
Super backgrounds for your new journal Chris and a super idea to use the papers
'Keep It Simple' sounds very, very difficult - well done.
Due to studies I think I have to skip, it makes me soooo tired!
To Spring!x
Great way to prepare a travel journey, mine would be blank. Lovely birds for Neets theme on AJJ. Hope you are keeping well, hugs Wendy.
Looks like my Iris will bloom at the end of the month or first of next month.
