T Stands For....the first, the second....and more

Hi everyone, there's a bit of all sorts here!

First of all my calendar pages

The sun was so bright (I'm not complaining here!) that I had to partially close my curtains so the colours are much brighter than this! I used one of my favourite flower stamps( a Hot Picks by Paper Artsy) in the vague hope that I could enter this at Art Journal Journey - then realised there are multiple flowers!

On the opposite page my little Janet Klein girl was begging me to sit her in a garden so I used another Paper Artsy stamp designed by Darcy. She is playing with her pet rabbits.

Here is February all filled in!

Today is the 2nd March so it's also time to join in at Second Look on the 2nd at The Altered Book Lover, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog

I would like to go back to Tours one day...

This was from a post on 10th June 2015

                __________________________________________

Yesterday we walked so much my feet ached but the plus was that my sugar levels were good and I allowed myself a treat (well, two actually) Lunch was in the old city and was a special offer!

Iced pea and apple gazpacho, chicken caesar salad and mini lemon meringue tartlet - all delicious!

We walked through the old town - almost past a fabulous art and craft shop -of course we went in - well....It would have been rude not to!!

Our walk took us over the Loire and  along by the side of the river and back over another bridge.

On the way back to the apartment we have rented we called at the bakery at the end of the road.... and this is what we came back with!

with these inside
Naughty. ...but oh so nice! !!
Sorry boys - didn't save you any! !!

Today it rained so we got onto a tram to see where it's journey ended....The hospital!
We caught the next tram back but decided to go further up the road to get to the museum - missed the stop and went right over the Loire before we could get off!  With no tickets left our only alternative was to walk back - just as the gentle rain turned into a very heavy rain! By this time we were so wet we went to the first eatery we could find - a Creperie!

Very old building, very nice savoury crepe but quite a walk to find the museum - by the time we got there I felt really ill - sat for a while and improved - enjoyed the museum but decided to return via the bakery - nothing exciting this time!
When I tested my sugar level I found that it was the lowest it has ever been since I got my tester!

Au revoir for now, I hope my family and my fellow bloggers are enjoying my photos!
                              ------------------------------------------
The meal shown in this post is one I remember most from all our trips to France. It was a warm day and it was the most refreshing meal ever! The 3 dishes set onto a larger square white plate just looked so inviting too!
Our drink of course was water! It is here I will join Bleubeard and Elizabeth for T Stands for Tuesday!
We had a walk to the post office last week and then around the estate and by the river - no photos, we just enjoyed being out and walking!
We did see lots of Spring flowers though.

I ordered these daffodils to come along with our food order two weeks ago - they are still looking quite good, although flagging a little bit, we think they must like it out on our balcony!
I ordered a small bunch last week and put them in our living room  - they did no more than this, turned papery and had to be thrown out yesterday. I have ordered more, guess where I will be putting them?

This Christmas Catcus is almost done now...or so I thought, it has more buds so maybe it will flower at Easter too!

Finally the results of the Gold song "quiz from last week.

The songs that match up with the lyrics are :-

1 Heart of Gold - Neil Young

2 Fields of Gold - Sting

3 Goldfinger - Shirley Bassey

4 Band Of Gold - Freda Payne

5 Goldeneye - Tina Turner

6 Gold - Spandau Ballet

7 Silver Threads and Golden Needles

8 Golden Years - David Bowie

9 Golden Brown - The Stranglers

You see, you did know some of them!!

Thanks for looking, Chris

I'm always a fan of your visits to France. And I'm thrilled you brought back this post from Tours. I loved seeing the gazpacho again, along with the lemon tart. I also loved the awesome photo of the bridge

Looks like you have a green thumb as long as you have a window view from your balcony. Flowers/plants seem to love it there.

As for the quiz, I only got one of them! I guess I didn't understand the rules.

Thanks for sharing your T time with us this Tuesday and your second look from Tours. It was a fun look back and a fun look at the present.

I got a couple of your songs from last week. I should googles songs with gold as I would have done better. Smile. Your calendar for March is cheery and perfect. Too bad there are multiple flowers, but it is still a great stamp. And thanks for some more arm chair travel. Even if it from 2015, that's OK. Hope March is going well and happy belated T day too. Hugs-Erika

I love daffs as my Mum would call them, always bright and cheerful .
We’ve driven around and through tours so many times and never stopped, looks a lovely place to visit, we’ve had some delicious cakes in France too, we had one called divorce, chocolate one end and caramel I think it was the other, naughty but nice.
I like your calendar, very spring like.
Have a good week

Mais j'ai hâte d'y retourner, ça me manque !
Huummm !
Quel magnifique bouquet.
Bonne journée.

The calendar pages look great Chris, hope we get some warmer spring weather soon. It's lovely to see our daffs and crocuses blooming in spite of the frost and freezing fog.
Lovely photos too!
