Earthday - bEARTHday

Hello everyone, and special welcome if you have arrived here from Elizabeth's blog 'The Altered Book Lover!
I was delighted to be asked by Elizabeth to join in her lead up to her bEARTHday by creating a 'green' page in my journal!

As many of you may know many of my journal pages start as a mop up page…..
….I always have scraps handy on my desk..
..so I did this first..
Yes, that is rare British sun shining on my desk - I had even had to pull the curtain across!
A little spattering using Inktense blocks and a little stiff brush!
I stamped some leaves onto a mop up piece of paper towel…..using….my new Carabelle Studio stamps….
….and used this stamp from the same set to make this page

The heart began as a coke tin, was cut out, run through an embossing folder and dabbed with alcohol inks.
The little wispy bits are some scraps of ribbon, I'll show you how I did this another day when I feel a little better.
I cut out the leaves on the mop up towel and made a flower
I hope I have given you some ideas on using up your scraps.

Apologies for my lack of visiting, I hope to be able to catch up soon!

Thank you for all your kind comments recently and….Thank You for looking, Chris

Thank you for this incredible journal page. It is truly a beauty and fits this month's bEARTHday theme on my blog. I am so grateful for this and really appreciate your stepping up to make this, even though you have not felt well.

Again, I think this is the PERFECT way to use those excess scraps we all have lying around. And that coke heart is fantastic, too!

I love your pages Chris, and this one is also beautiful. It nice how you use up all those old pieces. I like to do that too. I have a whole big bin of scraps, probably more than I can ever finish up. Happy Sunday. :) Erika

Wonderful green page, Chris - from the lovely inky mop up background to that fabulous Coke can heart... a great celebration of Elizabeth's bEARTHday (enjoying that word play too!). I've been very good so far in not giving in to those gorgeous Carabelle stamps - but I can see you're going to be adding to the temptation now...

Your page is an absolute delight Chris, love that you used bits you had on your desk and the background was tailor made! I keep seeing those Carabelle stamps around, I must not give in to temptation - lol.

This is such a lovely way to celebrate bEARTHday at Elizabeth's place. Big hugs, Anne xxx
