WOYWW 261

Just a little later then I thought I would be! My desk today is nothing to with me - I'm getting a craft bag ready for my granddaughter - she is due home this week - my son is a lot better (and thanks for your good wishes for him) and thinks he'll be able to cope with getting her to bed, walking her to school etc. although he has been told he will be off work for another week! He has missed  her so much (and so have we!), he and my grandson have had some male bonding time so it's not all bad I suppose!
Okay, the desk - link here to Julia's Stamping Ground to find the details.

Some inks, pitt pen, water brush, glue, some die cuts(will add to these) boxes to store brads and bits in and as you can see I am using up some scraps to punch out butterflies - you can also see the little critter that chewed up in the punch! I know she's not eight yet but her crafting is coming on and she has requested a journal like mine!!! I intend preparing some pages for her and there are stamps to go in along with some other bits and pieces.
Now - ATCs!
These are ones I received at the crop
Debbie          Julia           Kyla
                              Minxy        Christine
      Debbie            Shaz         Alison H

  Zo                  Hettie         Lynda B
Maggie             LLJ 's              Belinda
    Elizabeth       not an ATC      Dolores
These beautiful sewn ATCs from Annie and Jo

These arrived in the post too from Laura and Helen
Thank you all so much!
I still have some to post I'm afraid as I see the last post will have gone again! If you have been promised an ATC you will get it  - promise!!!

Now, before I go and because I know "The Boss" is away do you fancy a quick film review? Hubby and I went to see Maleficent today - in 3D - fortunately short enough not to give me headache and well worth it for the special effects! It is a really good film(this from someone who isn't really keen on Angelina Jolie), an interesting twist on the Sleeping Beauty story! The time just whizzed by!

Just as it has now, sorry I've gone on a bit!
Thanks for looking, Chris

Hi Chris. Glad you finally posted. You asked how I wrote the names on the photo and ATCs. I have a program called Photoshop. It's a very old program and was quite expensive when I had to buy it when I worked for a specific client. There have been numerous updates and even new programs, but I haven't been able to buy the updates and new programs, so I stay with the old one. It does everything I need it to, including a tool called "Text." I decide what color I want the text to be, then add the word any place on the photo (or scan). Hope that answers your question. BTW, I think there may be a few free programs similar to it on the web, but I haven't looked for years, so not sure.

I'd say giving your granddaughter the gift of creative tools and the bond of crafting is about as great a gift as you can give ; D. Lovely ATCs you have there. Happy WOYWW! #5

Ah that movie is a "maybe" for DD so nice to hear a good review :) What a great gift idea too. Your GD will surely love it but the best is time spent crafting with you. Enjoy....

Happy no-Linky WOYWW! (except I checked again and there it is!)

How wonderful to see you getting your granddaughter crafting ... I'd not knit or crochet if it were not for my grandmother! Aren't all the ATC's from the anniversary just wonderful to have ... I'd never ATC'd before so have found it all quite fascinating and love my collection of everyone's little pieces of art. Thanks for popping by my blog this week - it was lovely having you visit even though you found me lying in a darkened room with a cold cloth on my forehead after doing battle with those Northern Lights - I doubt my stamps will ever come out of the box again, but you never know! Love Debbie xxx

Gorgeous ATCs from the crop and swap - how lovely to get so much happy mail. Glad to hear you enjoyed Maleficent - I do love a good faerie tale (though, like you, I don' t love Jolie).

Sorry Chris, didn't realise your son had been unwell. Hope he gets back to good health soon.
Perhaps you can't get to the caravan yet as you are looking after him.
Sorry, been absent from blog land for a while and have missed so much.

The benefit of popping by late is that I get to see all your other wonderful projects. Love the frame and who doesn't need fairy's in the garden? Keep smiling and creating
