This is about a trip last week to a garden centre - a huge one! I went to meet a couple of friends for lunch and get into the Christmas mood.
The garden centre is called Bents and since I went last time it has had a huge extension built, with a little shopping alley with a toy shop, children's boutique and….a craft shop - a proper craft shop - it's a good job it isn't any closer!
They have always had wonderful Christmas displays but with the extra space they really are fabulous!
Love this skier on the ski lift
I took this from a door way on the way to the craft shop - we didn't even venture outside!
I was disappointed to find that this was the only display of nativity scenes.
As I am here to join Bluebeard and Elizabeth for T stands for Tuesday I had better show you a drink of water…and a half eaten lunch - I had eaten one sandwich before I remembered to take a photo!
I am hoping to take my Granddaughter here before Christmas - I am sure she would love it.
My cold seems a little better today - Thank you for all your good wishes!
Thanks for looking, Chris

Lovely decorations at that garden centre. Hope you enjoyed your sandwich and crisps! Have a good week, hugs, Valerie
It's good to read you are feeling marginally better. Guess I can cancel sending that frog.
That garden center will put anyone in the mood for Christmas. It's sure to make people pull out their wallets, because I saw a few things I would buy.
Your sandwich looks yummy and your potato chips (crisps) look so good and fattening! It's probably best you had water, but it looks like someone had a soft drink. That salad looks good, though.
Thanks for sharing the garden center and your food and water with us for T this Tuesday. Please feel well soon.
BTW, I read you are going to the WOYWW crop. Take lots of photos, please.
I lingered over that wonderful garden center so long, I nearly forgot to notice your lunch lol, but it looks good. I do love both the seasonal decorations and all garden centers, so I'd have been in Heaven here :) Happy T Tuesday!
Pleased your cold is bit better Chris
We have a garden centre near here that is similar to the one you visited. The Chritmas part was built on is a dream to visit though everything is very expensive
Happy T day
Love Chrissie xx
So many beautiful ideas at those garden stores....now if that money tree only took root I'd be in business. LOL
Fantastic decorations Chris!
Happy T-Day !
Chris what a Garden Center... wow! I could get lost in there! I need to go find me some Christmas cheer!! I'm so glad you shared this ! Happy happy T day! Hugs! deb

Boy it IS Christmas! ♥
i also spied the first xmas decorations recently. where has the year gone???
happy t-day!
what beautiful Christmas displays! I am going to Cape May, NJ for 4 days the beginning of Dec. to see the Christmas displays and Victorian Christmas parade and can't wait!!! Thanks for remembering to share your lunch with us, and happy T day!
What a lovely place to visit - some gorgeous photos you've shared. Looks like a delicious lunch as well.
what an amazing place! even though it's only round the corner I still can't quite get in the spirit - but this would help massively!
These are great Christmassy photos, I love the garden centres at this time of year with all the colour and glitter, and they usually have very nice cafes too. Sandwich and crisps, a perfect snack lunch.
Well that's got me in the mood for Christmas - great place to take your Granddaughter I'm sure she'll be mesmerised by all that there is to see! I'd be more than happy visitng the craft shop though, it looks fantastic :-). Wishing you happiness this T Day! J :-)
Looks a great garden center Chris, and some wonderful Christmas displays, AND a proper craft shop - what more could a girl ask for!
Glad to hear you hope to go again.
Hugs, Avril xx
We have not been there yet this year but seeing your wonderful photos makes me want to go straight away! Luckily, with the craft shop, it a little too far for a regular visit for me too! Thanks for sharing the photos though! Hugs, Anne xx
It looks a super garden center to visit and the way it is decorated is sure to put folk in a festive mood. The craft shop would be a bonus for crafters to browse and perhaps spend a few pennies.
Happy T day Chris

Beautiful Christmas displays! When I lived outside Bristol we would sometimes visit garden centres to see their displays. The larger garden centres have craft shops and that was usually the reason I visited. I agree with you on the lack of nativity scenes. Most people nowadays sadly don't remember the ´reason for the season'.
Your lunch looks tasty. (I love brown bread, although I can't eat much bread, I'm wheat intolerant). I'll have one of your crisps though if you don't mind...
Happy T-Day,
Thank you for your kind comment,
Lisca
Wow- you are right about the gorgeous holiday displays. It got me in the spirit just looking at them. And your lunch looks just the perfect amount of food. And good too. Sounds like a good day overall. happy T day-Erika
The garden center certainly knows how to do Christmas. Everything looks so sparkly and inviting. Oh the temptation! Good thing I'm only visiting "in pictures".
So glad you are feeling better!!!! The Christmas displays are so beautiful ♥♥♥♥♥ I do love to decorate for Christmas but just don't have energy for it like I used to. I used to manage a Seasonal Gift Department and believe me when I say I have enough decorations to open a small store. LOL! I hope you do get the chance to visit again with your granddaughter. We have a town near here that was founded in the 1700's and their main street is still in tack for the most part (which is a big thing here in the U.S. ) They decorate in period style every year and have evening shopping events. The whole street is gift shops and arts and crafts store. Such a fun event to attend every year.
Lovely photos Chris, and pleased to hear you're feeling better.
We have a garden centre like this near us, that we used to take our kids to when they were younger, to see santa and all the lovely decorations. Like a trip down memory lane! :-)
Hugs,
Alison xxx
