WOYWW 369 ...with additional photos

I can't believe how quickly last week whizzed by - I didn't join in last week as I wasn't sure how I would be able to return visits…..Oh!What am I talking about? WOYWW of course, at the moment hosted by Lunch Lady Jan while Julia carries on up the road of recovery!
I'm not sure whether this is allowed but I have two desks to show you…
Last week I was going to show you the beautiful little package I received from Michelle

My Anniversary ATC and the lovely little bits and pieces she included

I also had my Paper Artsy win choices to show you!

This week I have some treats from Woolfest(photos in the post before this one)

The stencils at the bottom only cost me £2 each and as you can see the Pink Pig sketchbooks were at a bargain price - I had been waiting for the shop at the Rheged centre to get the sizes I like back in stock! The rest of the treats were mainly fabrics for making brooches although …do you see the brayer?….free with a small round Gelliplate that also happened to be a very good price!

Yesterday I promised some photos that I took around the caravan..

The first night we spent there I looked out at around quarter to midnight to see this beautiful sky.
The next night was a little cloudy but still beautiful

While I was taking photos a Barn Owl flew past - I was so shocked, we had no idea that there was one around, so when I told the Warden's wife she was also excited!

These were taken at 4.00am - I had to get up - you know, call of nature, and when I looked out this looked so beautiful.
At around 6.00am it was like this looking down the road in the caravan park.
I also promised some bird photos
The Dunnock is a regular visitor
The male Blackbird was on feeding duties for his two offspring - the nest was in our hedge and we had watched him on feeding duties for a few weeks - we think first for the female, then for the babies!
The Robin tried to get the last out of the coconut!
Baby Sparrow alone in the hedge...
…found his brothers and sisters..and waited for food..
while the adults helped themselves.
We woke up to find the feeder in the middle of the lawn - we had heard crows in the tree outside our bedroom - we think they were the cheerleaders for the culprit who pulled this off!
As you can see - the old bird table was the worst for wear…we bought a new one!
Oh Dear! I do hope you are still here…I do tend to ramble don't I?

Thanks for looking, Chris

I always enjoy reading your blog and look forward to your cinema reviews as well so keep 'e coming!
Particularly enjoyed the bird photos and most of all the little sparrows sitting in a line. I have never seen them doing that. We have an owl in or very close to our garden. I used to think it was a fox getting hold of something as the noise is terrible but then I was told it was the female screeching for a male partner. Wish she would hurry and get one it has gone on for years now but thankfully just now and again. She must be a fussy lady!
Hugs, Neet 7 xx

thanks for your visit earlier, we are all recovered now - thank goodness.
Loved your post and thank you for the photos of the Dunnock. I was certain that we had a pair in our garden but PJ said they were country birds. Your post confirmed I was right (I will send the bribes over later!!)
Have a good week

Your garden is superb, with or without midnight raids!! I am still using the notebook that you gave me at the WOYWW Crop, it gives me a deal of pleasure, so I hope you get the same pleasure working on more! As you can see, I'm a little more on the ball this week, such a pleasure to visit. X

You got an awesome PIF partner, and that Paper Artsy win was superb. I keep thinking if I should ever win at Craft Barn, it wouldn't be worth it for 10 pounds. That would just about cover postage to the US, so YOUR 50 pound win was really good.

LOVED the photos of the caravan and the sky scenes, too. You live in a gorgeous place. Do you tend the lawn and hedges, or is it included in your lot fee? Yep, I'm curious.

What a lovely blog post - I've loved seeing the beautiful wildlife and lovely scenery - it looks idyllic. That must have been quite an experience seeing a Barn Owl fly past, how lucky for you.
I love the Paper Artsy stash you won - that's a lovely stamp set, and I've not long received my Infusions - they are fun but I get them everywhere!
Hope you enjoy trying out all your new goodies, have a great week,

Lovely photos! Those sky shots are so pretty. And I enjoyed the bird photos. I wish I could get close enough to mine to get those kind of shots. What kind of camera/ lens are you using? When my feeders hit the ground, squirrels are usually the culprits. I have a family of 3 plus 2 cousins (recently joined the escapades). Creative Blessings! Kelly 332

Wonderful photos! I love the layers of cloud over that hill, and the birds! I love the birds :) I also like the flowering in that hedgerow. There are some things I miss about not having a yard, and a hedgerow is definitely one of them.

Thanks for the info about the magazine.
You certainly have wonderful views there.
Great to be able to watch the wildlife, it's often such a struggle for them.

Beautiful photographs. It is always fun to have an Owl living near about - we had one last year that had her babies here. She might be back because at night we often hear her.

Hi Chris. I thought I was a follower on your blog already but obviously not so joined now. It seems quite difficult to get followers or maybe it's just me lol! Gorgeous collection of photos and your prize from Paper Artsy is fantastic. Have a great weekend and happy belated woyww, Angela 15
