T stands for time at home….

…and another photo heavy post if you are up for it?

Yes! We are at home…not for long, but time enough to attend a meeting this morning - with an interior designer - we have plans here at our retirement complex of a refurbishment - although not all at once! A few of us looked at the mood boards this morning and I must say I love them, but there will be mutterings I am sure!!

So what else…a journal page ..that started like this..
…went to this, by using some gesso, stamps and texture paste...

…and finished like this. Some more stamping, TH Remnant rubs, scraps, and some Crayola Twistables (I don't have Distress crayons but from what I have seen they are very similar - you just have to blend your own colours)
As you may know I love my travels in Europe - my question is "What Now?" We will have to wait and see!
Time for a reminder that there is still one week left at Try It On Tuesday to join in with 'I believe I can Fly'

I am here for T Stands For Tuesday with Bluebeard and Elizabeth,
so I shall start with my coffee and scone that we had on the way back from Woolfest last week.

We took the scenic route back(yes there are photos below this!)via Grasmere and called in at the garden centre. The only thing was, these two were keeping a beady eye on us for dropped crumbs. Fortunately someone at another table decided to be kind to them and they didn't stay there for too long!

Okay, Woolfest didn't disappoint, although the Ceilidh band that hubby enjoyed so much wan't there. However, there was something we both enjoyed as much..

..CUkes.. Cockermouth ukulele band - a lot of folk were singing along, including me, to a good medley of Beatles, Lonnie Donegan and other 60's songs as well as traditional uke songs!
Here are some of the sights at Woolfest

I had a bit of a spend here at Colourcraft!
Elaine was happy to show her felting efforts on my blog
A Herdwick sheep and her lamb
This is a Manx Loaghtan

The young lady on the right is Emma Ball, a very talented knitwear designer, standing by one of her designs. She was there as a guest of Emily Foulds wool…Oh! if only I was a real knitter…there was an amazing selection of wool.

So the trip home took us past Bassenthwaite…
….through some lovely scenery down past Rydal Water and into Grasmere.

I would like to add my journal page to Mary's Maps theme at Art Journal Journey.

I will be back tomorrow with some photos of our caravan garden and some baby birds!
Oh! and I'll show you what I bought at Woolfest!

Thanks for looking, Chris

brilliant textural piece of travel Chris! And oh that wool festival looks so delightful, but the majority of my time would have been spent with the animals-and yes, I would have fed the blackbirds too:):) Happy T day!

Woolfest sounds and reads awesome. I was really impressed with the wall hangings more than anything else, because I can actually relate to making something like some of those, only not as complicated. I wonder if Colourisous (spelling may be wrong) was there. They are big in everything fabric and more.

I really enjoyed the scone and the trip through towns and byways. It is a gorgeous part of the country you live in.

Thanks for sharing Woolfest, the countryside, the towns, the music, and your coffee with us for T this Tuesday. I loved it ALL! Almost forgot to say how lovely your journal page is, too!

Woolfest looks like a lot of fun. I think I would like that. I'd probably find a lot of yarn to buy though. And what a beautiful drive you took. I think your moochers were rather funny. They are pretty brave, aren't they? And lastly, gorgeous journal page for AJJ. I love the texture you added. Hugs-Erika

Love the page with the wonderful background textures.

The Woolfest looks like a great place to visit.Thank you for sharing the photographs. They took me right back to when we lived in the Lake District.

So what's next for you I wonder? Always look forward to your adventures.

Thank you for your kind comments Chris!
My allotment is considerably wet and unworkable though I am hopefully growing quinoa and kale as experiments. It all looks lush, but a bit chaotic.

I agree with you that the colours of June can be so amazing, especially with all the rain we have had.

Grasmere is such a wonderful place, it's ages since I was there. What an interesting fest.
I love sheep, wool and all the things you can do with it. Did you buy lots of wool?.
You do go to such amazing places.

Fabulous pages Chris, and I loved today's photos. Woolfest looks like a wonderful event, it's a while since I did any knitting but those designs look very tempting. Maybe next year.

I loved your photos! I'm glad you didn't have to share that tasty scone with those birds but am glad that they won't go hungry. Something tells me that's not a danger lol. Those scenes are so peaceful, and I enjoyed soaking them in. Thank you. Happy T Thursday from a very late-comer

Sorry to be so late to the party didn't want to miss the chance to wish you Happy T Day.
Computer problems have driven me crazy this week...but better late than never :-)
You've reminded me of our Grasmere gingerbread tea in the garden of a lovely hotel with a view of the hills behind us a few years ago.
Those blackbirds look stuffed as in not real LOL.
You've also made me want to sit at my felting machine and play with wool. Thanks for sharing your lovely photos. Woolfest sounds like something you would not want to ever miss.
