The camera loved her!

One of my favourite film actresses was Audrey Hepburn - I still love to watch her films when I can. My own favourite is 'Charade' which also stars another of my favourite film actors - Cary Grant.
There is a new theme at Moo Mania and More - Famous People and I decided to make a tribute page to Audrey.
I also want to enter at Anything but Cute - Ring out the old, bring in the new and I was keen to start using my new Moleskine journal, I also used some stamps that I bought while in France last year - until now they have remained uninked!
I scribbled with some Inktense blocks and then spritzed and used a thick brush to blend the colours.
A selection of background and text stamps over the top came next.
I stamped the film strip twice and added the clapperboard and then stamped the tickets onto some mop up paper, before I stuck them down I decided that they might show up more if I stamped directly onto the page too.
Audrey was stamped onto the edge of the mop up paper as it was a bit paler, and I also stamped the letter blocks - I don't think I have ever used these either and I have had them ages!!
These were both mounted on to a piece of Christmas Cracker card.

Audrey's circles being cut with a punch and a die.
The stars were also from the cracker, cut with a punch.

Do you have favourite Audrey film?

Finally - I love my new camera! I have been asked what hubby bought me. After a bit of research we went for this one.
I am not very technically minded and this is simple enough for me to use the settings without needing to remember figures!

We are not sure whether to go away for a break at the caravan - sunny, cold weather is forecast - just right for walks…and photos….so maybe!!

Thanks for looking, Chris

Glad you've got your new camera Chris. My hubby had to do my settings for me. I'm not technically minded at all.

I love your pages and what a beautiful image of Audrey Hepburn. I watched Breakfast at Tiffany's last year. Have a lovely week. Barb xx #57

A beautiful page Chrissie, Audrey was a very talented actress.
I have a Nikon Coolpix [waterproof and shockproof, so I don't have to worry what happens in the craftroom], they are great camera's.

I even recognized this famous person, so enjoyed the page.

I had a cool pix exactly like that, except mine was pink/redish. I know lots of people had NO trouble with theirs, but both of mine (yes, I got my first replacement before the 30 day warranty expired on the first one) bit the bullet. The problem was when recharging the battery and when removing the photos from the camera, you have to use the cord that was defective TWICE. I could never get the battery to recharge, and neither could the people at the store where I bought it, so I know it wasn't me either time.

After the second time, I used the money from the original camera to invest in one that used AA batteries I could recharge and has a much better lens. It's also a Nikon cool pix, but is an L820 and cost over $100.00 (USD) more than the first two I had. The two things I don't like about it are 1)it's not point and shoot, but must be focused for each shot and 2)the long lens often puts a shadow in the closeup photos I take.

I sincerely hope you have good luck with yours.

Fabulous page Chris, who doesn't love Audrey !!! The metallic accents are lovely! Seems we had a similar Christmas, I also got a new journal, and although I didn't get a whole new camera, I did get a new zoom lens...can't wait to see your new pics!

Lovely journal page, Chris! Audrey is such a classy lady! But ask me what movie (s) she's in--I'd have to pass on that; Trivial Pursuit is my worst game! My daughter and husband can rattle all that stuff off like reading a menu!

I love your lovely color palette and the bold pops of gold! Particularly pleased you gave that Christmas cracker a second life! Thank you so much for sharing this stylish journal page with us at Anything But Cute for our Ring Out the Old, Bring in the New Challenge. Hugs! Sara Emily, DT

PS Nice camera! Looks pretty technical to me! I've got my I phone only to take photos with. Tried to get a shot of a sun dog and a red sunrise this week, and both had washed out colors! I have a photographer's eye, just no camera! Ha! Ha!

Oh now, that's an easy question for me - it has to be 'Wait Until Dark' where Audrey starred with Ephrim Zimbalist Jnr, it was really scary and I loved every minute of it!!

I just love how you used your new journal and stamps Chris, the background you created is beautiful and of course, Audrey looks amazing!

A beautiful homage to Audrey. Great colours and wonderful style exude from this.
She has to be a favourite of mine. I've always been drawn to stars from before my time. I'd still have to go for Breakfast At Tiffany as Moon River is actually one of my all time favourite songs, it can even bring tears to my eyes.
