Calendar Journal for January

Hi everyone, we are well into the new year now and I realised I hadn't posted my calendar journal.

I decided on using old calendar pages with some of the stickers I seem to have accumulated over the years and never used. I saw that Elizabeth has done a similar thing although mine is not quite as interesting.

At the time I made it we were having grey sky after grey sky and I wanted blue skies and fluffy clouds!

I used NeocolourII watercolour crayons to draw clouds onto my patchwork of calendar pages and then added colour between them with a water brush.

I tried both blue and white for my squares but eventually decided on pink as I am now hoping (the weather has changed and we are getting some sunshine)to see some pink evening skies!

I am joining Erika at Art Journal Journey where she has chosen 'It's On The Calendar' as her theme this month.

Here is December's page if you are interested in looking at it filled in.

Thanks for looking,Chris

Now I'm longing for blue skies, fluffy white clouds, and pink skies in the evening.

I love how you used those old accumulated pieces on your calendar Chris. They look great. And isn't it good to use up some of those bits? I really like your clouds and you page. Thanks for sharing this over at AJJ. Not only is it a calendar but you used some cool calendar pieces. Have a great weekend. hugs-Erika

Dear Chris, it's a good idea to paint yourself the blue sky you want. And your calendar journal looks great. Fantastic that you manage to write so tiny. I could do that when I was very young, but somehow I lost that ability...
I wish you and everyone you love a happy, healthy and peaceful New Year 🍄🍀!
All the best, Traude
