Hi everyone, the insulin supplement to my meds is slowly kicking in and at last my glucose levels are falling! After a visit to the opticians this morning I am also happy to report that the early signs of cataracts that I had last year haven't got any worse.
I tried to get to everyone last week but there are some blogs not letting me comment again - hoping Mr Blogger lets me in this week!
So, back to France.
I forgot to mention the chateau we visited on the Sunday afternoon.
Spoilt slightly by standing in the sun listening to the owner relate the (not very exciting) history of the chateau for nearly an hour. We watched others wander off to the shade of the surrounding trees and I'm afraid that's what we did too
The Breakfast room was a lovely bright room
The next day we set off to travel South to our son's place in a little hamlet, south of Limoges. We stopped off in Rochechouart.
We arrived at the Manoir then decided to go out for a meal at a place we had been told about right by Hautefort Chateau.

It would be lovely to stay in that chateau! Glad your meds are working out better now. Happy T Day! Elle xx
What a really lovely little town Chris. And a lovely chateau hotel too. Isn't it fun to make discoveries when you travel? (and in art too.) I'm glad to hear your new meds are helping. And I hope you had a super T day. hugs-Erika
The chateau looks so lovely. What a fun dessert. I like the lettering skill of the chef. Happy t Day
I'm delighted the meds are working well and your cataracts are not any worse.
Of course, I was impressed with all the photos of that chateau, but the copper cabinet was what truly caught my eye.
WOW.
Your desserts look like miniature works of art. They are beautiful and I love there was chocolate for the name of the restaurant.
Thanks for sharing more lovely photos from France, your desserts, and your water with us for T this Tuesday, dear Chris.
Lovely Chateau! Happy for your positive health developments. Keep it up
You visited some wonderful places. At the 2nd one they even hung out the flags for you! Glad you had such a wonderful holiday again. Hugs, Valerie
