Officially Spring

Hi everyone, I seem to be lagging behind, hopefully I can catch up a bit this week. I have loved what I have seen so far, you have all had such great ideas!

Yesterday was officially the first day of Spring and the day my Mum celebrated her birthday. She was actually born on the 14th March but my Grandfather forgot to register her birth at the right time so when he did go to register he told the clerk that she was born on 21st March and that was the day my Mum had to celebrate her birthday!

My Art Journal Journey page for my 'Spring Forward' theme is about one of my Mum's favourite flowers the Narcissus - she especially loved a variety called Cheerfulness which always had such a lovely scent!

I used some Tim Holtz stencils for the background, the main image is a card I bought in Paris a few years ago, I used a piece of Stamperia paper and fussy cut a Narcissus flower from an old I-Spy book before adding the word Spring with some letter stamps that a friend gave me.

I hope to get around and see what everyone has been doing before hubby's next physio visit!

Thanks for looking, Chris

Our spring comes in like the proverbial tortoise: very slowly. Not so steadily, sometimes we go back to chilly wind and rain. Just a few green shoots are finally coming up along with the earliest bloomers in the garden. I hope your husband is recovering well.

That's a lovely page Chris. Narcissis are always so pretty to see in the spring, so these make a super main image for your page. And the blue is is a really good choice. It'snot great for spring blue skies, but it looks beautiful with the yellow and white of the flowers. Hope the next physio visit goes great. hugs-Erika

I am in awe. I love the fussy cut flower and how nicely the stamping of the word SPRING came out. This is another fantastic entry using your theme at AJJ, dear Chris.
