T Stands for three walks and coffee!!

Hi everyone, last week was mixed week of emotions and events.

On Tuesday, my very dear friend passed away and it was also the day we went for a walk with my youngest son.

He had seen photos on my blog and wanted to see Fletcher Moss for himself. 

We walked to the open air cafe area first and we all ordered Mochas but I forgot to take photos. In fact we were so busy talking that I didn't get my phone/camera out until we came to this...

....there had been a light misty rain earlier in the morning and this conifer had beautiful misty cobwebs all over it!

We took a different walk through woods.

You may remember I was keen to explore Stanner Wood the other week.

This is where it ends

Here is my son, while he was wearing a coat hubby and I had shirts and gilets - we were a little chilly when not in the sun! 

Hubby took lots more photos but I'll save those for another day!

Our water pipes had begun to make a funny noise so we now have a man coming later this week.

On Thursday we made a snap decision, (having seen the forecast for Friday) to go to Tatton Park. No booking required for the main estate and I received a lifetime free pass when I retired.

It was chilly enough for us to wear a coat but the sun shone most of the time.

It is rutting time and the deer were out by the road through the estate

So were the sheep.

We walked to the Old Hall and back

We had this view while we ate our picnic

We drove to the little wood to see this group of does and knew that a stag was nearby, we had seen and heard him earlier!

The video doesn't load in but we watched him as he covered himself in mud!

We decided against getting out of the car, there are warnings around about staying away from deer as it is rutting season.

We wanted to take another walk so drove to another car park and walked in front of the Mansion.

I showed you the other side of this gate from inside the garden last time but this time we are going around the outside of the garden to another secret place!

All stately homes had an Ice house if they were able to.

I found this coffee and croissant image in a free magazine, the lady in green is from a Stampington magazine.

I stencilled some coffee coloured lines across the page stamped some French words and found some words in story book I have had for a while that, although they were on the same page, weren't in the same sentence!

She looks as though she has been enjoying a night out with a flagon of wine! I wonder if she would eat the croissant?

After getting soaked walking down to the Health Centre for our flu jabs the week so far has been uneventful. 

We're off now for a walk before doing our Click and Collect pick up - showers are forecast, but we will have our umbrella this time!
