Sparkly at TIOT!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, but we are happy to see anything at all with stars, sparkle or glitter on your Try It On Tuesday entry for our new theme 'TWINKLE, TWINKLE!'

A while ago I bought some card bauble shapes and they stayed in a box in my craft room unloved, unused!

As I am on a mission to use up some of my craft stash I thought it was time!!!

I tore some book paper and stuck it randomly on the bauble and painted over it with Paper Artsy Fresco Snowflake paint.
Some JOFY stars were stamped and heat embossed with silver.
I punched out some silver stars and used stickles and a glitter pen to fill in the stars and add some little dots and doodles.

I took photos on daylight and by flash but it still looks better IRL!!
I found just the right sparkly ribbon and netting to finish it too!

The DT have, as ever, made some fabulous sample to inspire you - you can take a look here!

I would like to enter at

Thanks for looking, Chris

  5. Oh wow, this is inspirational. I love it because you can actually see the embossing you did on the beautiful bauble. It's a beauty, including the lovely ribbon you'll use to tie it to your tree.

  11. What a beautiful bauble! Are you gong to hang it in the tree? or is it supposed to be a Xmas card?
I also wnet one blog post back and read all about your visit to Val de Grace. Amazing!Impressive! What can I say... I am wondering about the plaque with François Mitterand on it. I could not read what that was all about and now I'm curious.
    Happy belated T-Day,
    Lisca

  16. I love your bauble, Chris! And I know what you mean about IRL (though I never read that acronym before). Since we all know about the difficulty of capturing the twinkly beauty on camera, we're pretty good with using our imaginations. I would love to see that shimmery ornament on my Christmas tree ;-)
