Get Ready For Christmas

Hi everyone, here at Try It On Tuesday it's time to 'Get Ready For Christmas' and you will see that the Design Team have different ways of getting ready for Christmas.

My birthday is in December so I sometimes don't get ready until after my birthday. This year however, with the experience of post not arriving when we expect it I have realised that my cards need to be ready for the post at the beginning of December.

I must confess this is my second attempt at this card - CAS really is something I should avoid!

I had just about completed the first version when I made a huge black mark so here is version two, which gave me a chance to change the stencil I had used! The little creature is by a French company and I bought it last year while on holiday.

I used Distress ink through he Lavinia stencil and coloured the image with watercolour pencils and a water brush,

It doesn't show but I used gold heat embossing for the sentiment.

I hope you will start to 'Get Ready For Christmas' and join us at TIOT this time.

Thanks for looking, Chris

What a cute little creature Chris. Don't you just hate it when something smooshes at the end of a project? It's tough with cards because you can't cover them up the same way as a journal page which might be salvaged. Hope all is well with you. hugs-Erika

A lovely card Chris, he's such a little cutie. I know what you mean with black marks on white card, and it always happens just when it's finished!

A lovely card Chris, that’s such a cute little creature. I’m a master at black marks on cards especially when they are almost finished 😃
