Late and Dreaming….

…..with the Dragons of course!

I started this before we went away but packing prevented me from finishing and posting it!
We have had a great time and photos will follow!

For now though with only a few hours to go I don't want to miss one of my favourite challenges - Dragons Dream, where Silvia chose 'V and Feather' My Violin was one I stamped on to a tag ages ago, I added text using Peacock Feathers Distress and added a few Prima swirls using Adirondak - Stream. The feather is a Paper Artsy mini stamped on to coloured paper and cut around the edges. I added Stickles in Aqua and Black.

This violin is quite appropriate since we were in Vienna only two days ago (tales of a Strauss opera to follow!!!)

Sparkly Christmas

I have finally made a start on my Christmas Cards - I usually try to make flat cards to go through the post! This time, spurred on by the theme at Country View Challenges which is 'Sparkle and Shine' I have taken the plunge with a bit of both!

The stamps are Inkadinkadoo 'Snowflakes' and 'Sketches Scrollwork'
I added Tumbled Glass distress marker to colour then Aqua stickles and a Sakura sparkly pen, finally I splashed on some Brushed Pewter Distress stain with a brush

I've shown two views here because different parts of the sparkly bits show up.
I'm entering this for 'Sparkle and Shine' at Country View Challenges'

A Big Surprise!

Just as I finished my Christmas card post I went to get the link address from Country View Challenges, scrolled down to find I am a top 3 winner! Not only that I am alongside some wonderful people whose work I really admire - talk about a dog with two tails - that's me at the minute!!

Thank you so much!
This has made my day, week, year!!!

A lovely day….

The venue for my son's wedding couldn't have been more romantic.

It didn't impress our two grandsons though!

The groom waiting…

The happy couple

My daughter in law made her own bouquet - there are such lovely things in this - she says she's not a crafter - what do you think?

There were so many lovely touches to make this Autumn wedding more special.

A beautiful Autumn themed cake

It had to be cut though!

First dance as man and wife

Our granddaughter prefers to take photographs!

Before I could dance hubby had to fetch my flatties!

That's me with the pink and blue face

The weather stayed mainly fine and I'm looking forward to seeing the official photos.
I have had real problems adding theses photos in the right order - blogger kept throwing everything to the top or deleting altogether so some do not have captions - they are pretty much in order though!

Off to make a start on the packing!

Wedding Day!!!

We're going to a wedding, a really important wedding - my eldest son is marrying his lovely fiancé today and we're on our way later today!
Just time to show you the card I made!

I even made an envelope!!!

They are having an Autumn theme to their wedding so I have added some colour

I can't believe I did something white without big marks all over it!!
I'll be back with photos tomorrow!

WOYWW

Oh My! I am late!!! Yes I've been to the cinema(review later!) but then I had a clothes voucher to spend at M and S before it ran out! We were already in a rush as my eldest son wanted to come and collect my small contribution to the table decorations at his wedding - it's this Friday!! Of course when he came we had a chat and then a bit of sorting out for our holiday in Austria next week and suddenly it's past 7.00pm! I'm sure Julia won't mind me being bit late - it is still Wednesday - you know the day when we hop around the World at Julia's Stamping Ground blog!
So….my desk…
The first shot is with the goodies I bought at Happy Stampers( a great day and met up with some WOWWYers!) You will find excellent pictures of the event at Stamping by H and Sams blog

…and here as it is now - I haven't been in my craft room since this morning when I took the photos…

..couldn't resist a quick play with my distress sprays  - only bought two - consumer research you know!!!

Cinema review - We went to see 'The Equaliser' starring Denzil Washington - Quite Very violent in parts and some bad language but the story was very gripping and although not my usual choice of film  I did enjoy it. It certainly moved at a good pace and it didn't seem like just over two hours! The scariest part was seeing the trailers for Halloween type films!!!

I hope I can get to visit this weekend if not before, otherwise I'll see you in two weeks time!!

Dreaming again!!

Actually I wish I was dreaming more…had a couple of bad nights sleep- no idea why!! It's time to join Dragons Dream Tag It On - this time it's number 176 and the theme is "Letter 'W' and Lace"
I enjoyed playing with my Lavinia fairies so much the other day that I could resist a whimsical little tag with fairy wings!!

I love the idea of fairies drying their wings on a washing line and this is one of my GD's favourite stamps! This time a naughty fairy has taken two pairs and made a kite!!
The wings were all painted with Cosmic Shimmer paint but sadly, no matter how I held the camera I couldn't get it to shine here!
The lacy sun is shining though and so is the fairy dust(stamped with Brilliance gold ink)!  The background is distress inks and the grass is the edge of a stem.
I added some lace that I had run a mixture of pewter and bronze paint over.
