Hi everyone, after a very grey day yesterday both weather wise and health wise I'm up and about on this sunny day and feeling much better.
My page was started a while ago and has been in my journal with square grid pages for over year.
I used Paper Artsy Infusions onto deli paper, lots of layers of different Autumn colours. I used a variety of different leaf dies to cut out some crinkly leaves.
I was reminded about the fact that Hedgehogs often nestle down in piles of leaves to hibernate and the Stamperia Hedgehog is just about to do that now that the leaves really are beginning to fall. I stamped a few extra leaves for him.
The quote is from Indigoblu.
I'm joining Tracey and her 'Autumn Is My Favourite Colour' theme at Art Journal Journey.

I also have a little reminder that Try It On Tuesday's 'Autumn Blessings' closes tomorrow evening
Thanks for looking, Chris
And a dreary Fall day is a perfect day for a nap (and sleeping in general). I like how you’ve created your journal page. Your Fall leaves look so awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love that quote!! Sorry you've been feeling under the weather healthwise but glad today is better! it's very dull here so your grey colours would be very apt! great page.
ReplyDeleteWonderful journal page, so reflective of autumn. Sorry you had a bad day, hope you're feeling well now. Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteDreary weather always makes me want to take a nap. Your page is lovely. the little hedgehog makes me think of my friend, Tiggy (nicknamed after Mrs. Tiggle-winkle because Tiggy hates to iron. 🎃) I hope you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI can understand your nap. I've taken a couple this weekend. Effect of my flu and shingles shot. Man, that was quite a reaction. I am loving this page, the adorable hedgehog and all those pretty leaves. Doesn't it feel good to go back to an older page and finish it? Happy new week. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI am SO glad you shared this incredible spread with the adorable hedgehog. We don't have them in the states, but from reading Wendy's blog post earlier, I see they are now becoming endangered. Hedgehogs are such cute little mammals. I'm so glad you gave yours all those incredible leaves you die cut. They are perfect for the hedgehog and also perfect for Tracey's theme at Art Journal Journey.
ReplyDeleteI was sorry to read you were not well. I hope all is much better now, dear friend.
Glad you are feeling better now Chris and that the day turned out sunny for you, we've been blessed with some fine days down my way this past weekend.
ReplyDeleteLove that you introduced the hedgehog into your page with those falling autumnal leaves, they will be needing those to hide amongst and keep them warm soon. Lovely little creatures and super page. Thanks for joining me again for my October AJJ theme.
Happy creative week Take care Tracey xx
Great and wonderful idea with the hedgehog, oh yes, it has to protect too! I hope you feel better and enjoyed the nice weather. I'm not doing so well with my back and knees either!
ReplyDeleteHave a happy week, hugs, Elke
What a cute page. :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous page Chris, love the background with the crinkly leaves, and the grid pattern. The hedgehog is a great addition. Pleased you are feeling better, hugs Wendy
ReplyDeletePerfect in its depiction of Fall/Winter's dreary days, Chris. Love the words, too. Glad you are feeling better. xoxo
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous page Chris!
ReplyDeleteGood to read you are feeling a bit better Chris. This is a fabulous page, we do get so many of these dark and dismal days at this time of the year. Its a super page for the AJJ theme.
