Hi everyone, there couldn't be a more appropriate theme this week at Try It On Tuesday! We are inviting you to 'Make A Rainbow' which also means you can use rainbow colours on your entries this time.
The Design Team have made some great projects to inspire you - please do take a look here.
The rainbow is a symbol of hope and promise. There is a chance that soon Covid restrictions will be a thing of the past. It's not going to happen overnight, we know that, but with co-operation and vaccines it will gradually become easier to live less restricted lives that we have for the last year.
I used watercolour and then water through a stencil to lift off some of the colour.
The rainbow, hearts and cloud and sentiment are from a new Woodware stamp set by Francoise Read. I added some fussy cut flowers from one of her other sets. I added a girl from an Aall and Create set by Janet Klein set.
The girl looks happy to be making plans for shopping and meeting up with friends...me...I'm happy to wait a little while longer.
I was Inspired By news of lowering Covid numbers in the UK and I am joining in at Art Journal Journey and Eileen's theme
Thanks for looking, Chris

This is a great page for TIOT and rainbows Chris. Also for AJJ too. I didn't even think of using any JK folks but this girl looks happy and you really made a cool rainbow page! Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet Spring page, Chris! You can’t help but smile with a rainbow in sight...real or the arty kind. Cool background. Thanks for sharing how you accomplished it.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful Chris, a very sweet piece. Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous rainbow page Chris! xx
ReplyDeletePerfect! I love the rainbow theme--all the colors and the hope. Yes, we hope with the vaccine thingss will eventually get more back to normal. Can feel it near already. :)
ReplyDeletewhat a sweet journal page, Chris. It's so fun. I love the background you created and how you turned it into a rainbow of color, too. The burst of color you used on the rainbow and flowers really set this beauty apart. Thanks, too, for sharing it at Art Journal Journey honoring Eileen's theme.
ReplyDeleteDelightful, Springy and so Colourful! I just did a rainbow card but could do different art with them all day. Hoping I get a chance to AJJ-play this month. I remember Eileen from Winter Wonderland blog more than AJJ, and neither that well. It's so nice of y'all to honor her. XOX
ReplyDeleteA super sentiment to add to this fantastic page Chris. I love the scene you created for the theme. It will be good to have some freedom again, but I am in no hurry to leave the house
ReplyDeleteStay safe, Yvonne xx
