Boys or men?

....at Try It On Tuesday and this time it's For The Boys! The Design Team have come up with so many ideas I do hope you will take a look!

The other week I went to Stamp Magic at Doncaster where lovely Tracy Easton was (quite rightly)proudly showing off her new stamp sets. Although I had something else in mind for my project as soon as I saw the stamps I had a better idea! As it happened I also had a free gift of some fancy cut cards(one of Whichcraft's specialities) because I bought the show offer(and more!!!)
I cut off the edges - I saved the fancy scallops for a journal page.

I used my little stacking paint set to colour the stamped elements
Some Paper Artsy Infusions onto deli paper would make sky like panels...
..but what to do for very small stars?
I looked through my punches and found a very old fancy one that I hardly ever use - because of the way the bits used to litter my mat - now the bits were very welcome!

Galaxies were made with a white pen
Larger stars cut out of chocolate wrappers...
...as was the moon.

Unfortunately the card I needed to make was for an older 'boy' so I still had to make another card - I'll show you that soon!
I know who will be getting this though so all is good!

Looking forward to seeing the entries this time. The 'For The Boys' challenge is open for two weeks - we do hope you will join us!

Thanks for looking, Chris

  3. I'm always drawn in to Whichcraft show offers but then I don't get round to using them! I like that you cut off the fancy edges and lovely array of different stamps. I got those little water colours at Port Sunny and use them all the time. It's a fab card Chris.

  10. Awesome card Chris. I love those stamped images. They are really adorable (but not in a baby adorable way.) I like how you went with a space theme. :) Hugs-Erika

  11. What a clever cut of a card Chris, so many little areas to discover and decorate. Tracy's stamps are so wonderful and this set is no exception.
    Fabulous creation!

  12. Oh this is tremendous, Chris. I love 3D cards and artwork. It's a great "boy" theme although swap the boy for a girl and it would be equally good. I like the spaceman popping up and the spaceships flying all over your card universe.

  13. So many clever techniques on this card, Chris, I don't know where to begin. I love how you did the sky panels on deli paper. Terrific card!
