It may be quite a common word but really it does mean so much!! I have never been one for having a word at the start of a New Year but while doing something else I found this word in a book of quotes on vellum paper!
It really did appeal to me but…I refused to use it! Unfortunately as I had torn another quote out it had started to come out of the booklet so I left it on my desk meaning to put it away in my scrap bag!
Well, every time I moved something there it was, of course I was in the middle of doing something else, exploring possibilities etc. etc.
It was only when I took a pile of word puzzles to do while looking after our grandchildren and somehow it had got into that little pile, that I realised I was going to have to use it!(Hubby and I tear puzzles from newspapers to do when we can)
I stuck the word at the top of my page with multi medium glue.
I had some scraps on my desk so…looked through them to make this page (and a few more!)
The background was a blotted stencil. I added an often used umbel stamp, by using Perfect Medium and then brushed with Mica Powder - set with a quick spritz of hair spray.
The shine is fabulous..
The final touch was some spatters and the TH chit chat words.
Hubby and I are quite tired today having been out of our normal routine for a couple of days - getting up at 6.45a.m. and going up the motorway to 'look after' our grandchildren! On one of the days we only saw them at lunchtime and when we left - the pull of the X-box and chatting to friends was obviously quite important!!! To be fair, the weather was dire and an outing to a park was out of the question!
So….I shall be searching for possibilities this year in my art and while out and about and we are still looking at possibilities for travel this year!
This page will be linked to Erika's new theme at Art Journal Journey - 'New Year- New Adventures
and also to Moo Mania and More - where the theme is 'Welcome' as I enter this New Year with a word - 'Possibilities'!
Thanks for looking, Chris
ps Apologies to Mrs Tricket my old English teacher for starting a sentence with "So"!
This page looks so beautiful- a fabulous scrap-collage .
