Wishing for Second on the 2nd!!

I am little late with this! We had our eldest Grandson to stay overnight last night. By the time we had taken him home, chatted and shopped it was getting late and I had to prepare a card before we went to a party here at our retirement complex. I had one for the 'Birthday Girl' - Mona, who we play Scrabble with is 97, but I remembered it was another of our friend's birthday today so there was not time for switching on the computer!
The party was quite a lively affair - silly games, a singalong and some of us even got up to dance!!
The food was really yummy but I had to avoid the dessert table!

My post is from 9th December 2014

Wishing in my journal!

I needed a break from finishing my Christmas cards so started a page but didn't get around to finishing it! Today with most cards either written or waiting, I needed another break but had forgotten what I intended to do to finish the page! Ha! Then I remembered seeing that there was a challenge over at 'That's Crafty challenge blog' - 'About face'…..of course,
this is who the hare was looking at….an ice maiden..come to grant him a Christmas wish! So here he is in his Winter wonderland.

Thanks for your comments yesterday. We got through the Crematorium part and it was lovely to see relatives afterwards that only seem to meet up at these sort of occasions. There were a lot of those 'I didn't recognise….' starts to sentences as well as lots of 'No! They can't be that age already!' comments. We are hoping to meet up with my cousin over from Australia after Christmas when her hubby comes over.
I am linking to Bluebeard and Elizabeth's

Thanks for looking, Chris

  1. Glad you are ok and it is so sad when we only seem to catch up with some of our family in times of grief but it happens to us all. Your party shenanigans sounded great, there's nothing like a good knees up. Thank you for sharing your page from the past love that Hare..

  2. It was good to read that you made it through the service and the rest of the day, too.

Your hare is simply adorable. I actually remember this post and loved it then, as I do now. It is a PERFECT entry for a second look on the 2nd. It doesn't matter that it's late. I love it the second time around as much as I did the first time I saw it.
