I used Ranger Perfect medium and embossed using white embossing powder.
More words stamped onto a torn piece of card and then the sentiment added using WV PS ink again. I added some pearly flowers that I think look like snowflakes(OK - a bit!)and finally added some Stampendous Frantage - Shabby White embossing enamel to the snowflake and around the corners.
We went to Styal Mill - one of our favourite places, but by the time we got there the mill was shut and the garden that we love so much had been shut because of the windy weather.
…and a scone because we had only had a small lunch!Hubby had tea and jam and cream with his scone, I had a filter coffee and butter with mine.
The cafe had been decorated.
When we left I took a view from the outside
We walked up past the mill and back to the carpark by the longest route.
A big contrast from when we went in the Summer!

ReplyDeleteI've never owned any kraft paper, although it looks like brown paper bags to me. I can certainly see the appeal. The whites show up beautifully against it. This is a gorgeous card, albeit, a bit too bulky to mail, I fear.
ReplyDeleteThere's no way you got that yet. I mailed it the day after I mailed Halle's big gift. Simply amazing. As I was heading out the door to the PO, I saw I had not written my return address. You can see how bad my handwriting is when I'm in a hurry and my fingers are cold. And to think, I used to have lovely handwriting.
Your walk was incredible. I loved the place you stopped, and that is MY kind of drink, too. I'd give anything to have a real scone like my grandmother used to make. I think I miss her melt-in-your-mouth scones and her incredibly flaky pie crust more than anything.

Tea looks delicious too... well, I'd join you on the coffee rather than tea, but you know what I mean. There's nothing like a good old-fashioned industrial mill... how great would it be to have some workspace in one like this?!

I love brown and white with a bit of glitz. I also loved your pictures. I adore the United Kingdom and really wish I lived there. Maybe my husband and I can go back for a proper visit. So many of my favorite crafting ladies live in the United Kingdom. I will have tea with plenty of clotted cream and a touch of strawberry jam please!
