I really should have been writing Christmas cards but needed a distraction and bit of fun following receiving something I did not want to read when our post arrived today!(although I had been expecting it!)
I grabbed a couple of bags and a stencil and started to make my page - added some stamps - the nearest to hand - some Prima swirly ones and came up with this…
My little bird, you may remember seeing him earlier this year, is one of my favourite stamps.
The journalling says Live every moment and laugh every day! I made a flag pole with it to hold my Hopes, dreams flag (both Paper Artsy)
I am linking to Art Journal Journey where the theme is Collage and some Journalling
and
Moo Mania and More who want to see our favourite stamps
Thanks for looking, Chris
Fantastic collage, so pretty, thanks for joining us again at Art Journal Journey and Moo Mania and More, hugs, Valerie

A brilliant page Chris - the quirky bird looks amazing, I love it!! Hugs, Anne xx
ReplyDeleteLove the page!! Cute bird! Bad news post is not good, even if you knew it was coming; hope everything is ok. (I need to write my Christmas cards too!)
ReplyDeleteI really love your beautiful, happy page, Chris. It's cute and so well done.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend ♥♥
Love the contrasts on your page Chris, the beautiful blends of colours on the flowers to the more gentle and subtle background and the serenity of the birdhouse to what looks like a very active and chatty bird.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
hugs Brenda xxx
I just love it and it is so good too see something bright and summery

Beautiful page Chris! I love that bird, he is such a fun little guy, and your birdhouse and flowers are just the thing when it's so drab outside! hugs :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful journal page - you turned something you did not like into joy - good for you!!

Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like excellent avoidance therapy... both from card-writing and from whatever it was in the post. I love the bold flowers and fabulous flourishes, and the great distressed look around the edges. I can see why that little bird is a favourite - he's bound to cheer you up, I would think.

I hope making this beautiful journal page helped you for a while, to take your mind off the post.
ReplyDeleteTake care,

I have no idea how I missed this one, either. But I laughed at the title. I liked the flagpole, the flowers, and the bird house. What more can I say. I liked it ALL!
ReplyDeleteSweet birdie of hopes and dreams, he is a charmer on your floral page. Nice scraps there. xox
ReplyDeleteYour collage is soooo beautiful! Enjoy your week! Love Anja
