Card for a man!

Time has flown this week! Hubby and I had a day out last Thursday - we went about 30 miles away to a town we have never visited before - Nantwich in Cheshire! I don't have photos at the moment but it has lots of Tudor buildings, some lovely little shops, a fascinating church, an interesting museum, lots of eateries to choose from and a fabulous deli(we have to go back for the scrumptious cheeses!)
Sadly, Friday was the funeral of a dear friend and yesterday we had to shop and I had to make a card for hand delivery today!!

Oh! That's why I'm here, now it's been delivered!
Talk about time flying….our nephew is now a grown man but it seems only a short while ago that he was playing with Lego!
I stamped the card with a little scrap of corrugated card before sticking on actual corrugated card. The stamp is from Paperbag Studio and the clocks are Paper Artsy (both stamped in Archival WV Potting Soil). The feather was from a magazine the other month and of course there's my favourite trellis die from TH. I have mislaid my distress tool but scissors worked almost as well around the image. I used a Uni-ball Signo Bronze pen to outline the clocks.
I didn't photograph the inside but it said 'Time flies when you're having fun, Happy Birthday!'

I'm entering the challenge at Artful Times where the theme is 'MEN'

Thanks for looking, Chris

  1. Great card, scary how the younger generation (never mind the rest of us) grow up so fast!

  2. This is gorgeous. I was impressed by the corrugated cardboard mainly because it acted as a lift for the focal image. And I simply adore that German text you used for the feather. Overall, a very lovely card.

  3. Great card Chris, I am always in need of help, with male cards! Nantwich takes me back, as a kid we used to drive to North Wales to see my grandmother and used to stop there for coffee in a lay-by from a flask! Nikki xx
