Otherwise hang around and see what's inspired me!
There wasn't a great deal of crafting going on over the Easter weekend! We had glorious weather up here on the edge of the Lake District - although must say Easter Sunday did threaten to turn out wet but we avoided it! Thank Goodness - or I wouldn't have these to show you!
We went to Sizergh Castle - it's our place to go after church every Easter! This year they have a fabulous Woollen Woods exhibition!
It really is worth a visit and it's on until the beginning of September
There is a web site -
My GD and I came back inspired but with no time to play, the next day was also an outing day at the Brockholes Visitor centre near Windermere
So, I'm going to sort out my wool and get started so that next time I see GD we are going to be able play!
She has gone home now and her brother has stayed with us for a couple more days - we are off to see Spiderman later, Hubby wants to see it as his birthday treat!
Back to normal next week - I keep having to wait for connections so this post has taken quite a while! I will try to get to as many desks as I can today but it may not be until the weekend!!
Thanks for looking, Chris

I love the thought of all that woolly art being displayed in the wood like that - if I was closer, I'd do something for it too!! Glad you had good weather for your weekend away, I love the Lake District!

I love those woolen creatures! What a lovely idea! I think the owl is my favourite! I keep meaning to join in with WOYWW and then events overtake me and there just isn't any time left! Ah well, one day! I love your Lake District photos! I have only been there once, but I remember it was breathtakingly lovely. Julie Ann xxx

Oh wow, those woolly creatures are fab :)
How very impressive, Chris. I was oohing and ahhing over the wollen woods creatures. This is a super expedition. I love it when you take us along on your voyages, and this one, although maybe not as "intense" as Florence or Rome, is just as fun to explore with you. Thanks for sharing this time out and about. WOYWW wishes from # 9.
I like all the little birdies. Glad you had a great Easter. April #71

Well Miss Chris this is the best post, the woolly animals are fantastic, the hedge hog being my favorite, we don't have them in Canada, I'm always searching for them when I go to England, thanks so much for sharing your lovely days out, what precious memories for the BEST GRANDMA ever...
The woollen woods are so much fun - what a lovely thing... and gorgeous photos of Windermere too.
