WOYWW 223

Wednesday - again! The days just seemed to melt into each other this week - we've been here, there and everywhere and in between a bit of crafty time, men coming to give quotes for new windows and a bit of social activity…in other words a lovely week!
So, along with crafty folk all over the world we are here at Julia's to show our desks(for details of how to join in see here
Not a lot on my desk, something started and a few things around waiting for the 'umph' to get me going. Also I see on the left the very edge of my two new notebooks and a Paperchase voucher that is going to be used later today - we are off for coffee with number three son! On the right two A5 journals and my Eleanor of Aquitaine book - still reading the book I started way back in June(although I have read others in between)
Oh! just remembered - the 'experiment' last week?
Back to the drawing board methinks!!
Actually - looking at this again - give up - lifes too short!!!

Thanks for looking, I'll be back after coffee and a bit of retail therapy!
Chris

I must have missed something! What experiments?
These little paper creations are really cute.
You could spray them with coffee and then squash them and use them as embellishments.

Must be the time of year for home repair, as I have someone coming on Saturday to give me a quote on new gutters and to fix my porch roof (ugh...). Looks like you have a lot of room there for fun! I see you started a tag, and boy do I love tags. Your small paper embellishments look lovely, can't wait to see what you do with them! Winnie#79

They are a bit teeny and fiddly aren't they. I'm of the same mind as you - but I see already that others are going to be very laudable and encourage you to use them...Oh my choking halo!! Have a nice coffee break with son #3...and possibly try not to buy another notebook?! Said no serious crafter ever!!

Sounds like you've been having a lovely week, full of activity! I have read Julia's comment but...ooh I do hate to waste things; but about like Zue says, distressing them and adding them to a tag as maybe tiny flower petals? Sorry, but they look so pretty and I can't help interfering!!! Have a wonderful WOYWW! Julie Ann xx #42

Hi Chris, what were you actually trying to do with the doiley? I think it needs recycling in the round file if you know what I mean! Take care.

Did your mojo take a vacation, too? Just make a little something, start to finish--it will make you feel better in the end.

Happy WOYWW to you!

I missed your desk too last week so I'll go look see what you're attempting. Looks pretty. Mounting stamps goes much easier for me now that I do it in two steps...cut rubber stick to cling then hot knife cut the cling. Will be using some of these on my charms this month. Have a super week. Thanks for the earlier visit! Happy WOYWW! Nan G #92

Okay I see what you're trying to do....punch edge ona 12" piece of paper...needs more scoring to make a rosette. The put a score in the middle of outward curve (hump) fold so the humps are all on the top or the bottom. Cut a narrow piece in width do same and stack for a layered lacy flower.

Sounds like you are having a busy but enjoyable time. If ever you fancy going to the new library in Liverpool give me a shout and we can meet up there for a coffee and a natter!

I hope you had fun spending your Paperchase voucher (I found a lovely kraft journal there the other week - they thought it was a photo album, but I know better!), and are enjoying Eleanor again...

Maybe you can turn your experiment into something else entirely!

I used to find the odd thing in Paperchase, I worked in Bath so got there sometimes but now I don't and I am not sure if the shop is still there!

Wow Chris, you are having a busy time of it. Saw you at Cardio but we somehow never chatted. Hope we remedy this at the next show - are you at Harrogate or Leigh? Know what you mean about giving up with that flower!
Hugs, Neet 113 (and thanks for the visit you made to me. I am so late!)
