Whats on your workdesk wednesday

I've often looked in envy at others workspaces and thought ...one day...so here I am in our new flat with not just a work desk but a work room! YAY! Only thing is, that although I have a space to work, sadly the rest of the room shall for now remain a bit of a dumping room for all the boxes that we still have to either find room for, unpack or throw out! Want to see them? - no way!!!He!He! But I will show you where I am at the moment.
I found these unfinished atcs while I was organising my storage boxes(I'll show you these sometime)so thought I may as well finish them.
As you can see everything sits on a piece of oil cloth that I saw one day as another lady was buying some - well, I just had to have some didn't I? On top of that is my cutting mat, rulers and cutters. On the left you can see my little box of mop ups which give you a clue about my favourite colours, on the right my monster pencil case that goes back and to the caravan with me, you can also see my glues, in an old jam holder from a present waay back, my two favourite pairs of scissors and right at the back my jewellery box that contains beads from all over the place including some of my Mums that I couldn't bear to send to a charity shop. Okay, you can have a peep inside!
You can see my Primark specials here on the right - little bundles of bracelets that I use to decorate parcels and bags.
Now I can keep things out (instead of sweeping them up from the dining table) I'm hoping (crafting) life will be easier, although we still have a long way to go with those darn boxes!
Hope to get to see a lot of work tops today all linked from Julia's blog here
Thanks for looking, Chris

Hurrah! Congratulations on your new workspace... and never mind the temporary dumping ground - there's probably useful crafting stuff in there too! Love your treasure chest, and what a good idea to get those bracelets from Primark for craftiness... Thanks so much for stopping by at Words and Pictures, and happy WOYWW!

I have a stash of cast away jewelry--necklaces and bracelets--for mixed media projects. Such a great idea! Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh at #11

Hooray for new craft spaces - it must be wonderful to have a dedicated area instead of fitting in as and when! I love the box of beads too - I had one just like that, including some of my Mum's, but have dismantled them all now and am recycling them into new jewellery/handbag charms ect to rais money for the brass band I play in!
And I loved the pics of you husband being Trainee Zookeeper - what a fab prezzy that was for him. I'd love to do that!

Hi Chris - do come and say HI at Port Sunny. Remember Ali-Crafts and I am doing AI's.
Lovely to see your new workspace. Brilliant! One day you will get it organised and then you will change it and then you will change it and so it goes.
What a fab collection of beads and I know how hard it must be not to use Mums and how good it is to visit Primark.
Do you like Purple? Love the purple and blue mix in your box.

Ohhh Chris I am so glad you have a studio!!! :)
It makes such a difference having somewhere to GO and you can close the door on any mess.
Oil cloth is something i want, but is expensive in my local store. It gets covered in paint so I need to find a piece in a charity shop. I wonder what you will do with all the scrummy jewels:)
I will be back to browse your other posts later. Have fun Chris!

How wonderful that you now have your very own crafting room to do with as you want. Have lots of fun unpacking those boxes and organising yourself, although be warned, you'll never finish organising your room, it seems to be something that is never quite right but maybe that's just me!!!
Happy WOYWW

Welcome to WOYWW! so glad you took the plunge. Your banner includes one of my top five favourite stamped image ever...had to buy a second one of these stamps back in the day because I was afraid I might lose one! It is a marvellous thing to have a real space for crafting in, I haven't got used to the luxury and thrill of it yet, and its been five years since my room became mine, so no hurry on the sorting front...you've got time now! Being a caravan gal means you have a better control of your stash than most f us, because you move it about....impressive!
