Into the light!

Hi everyone! Thanks to Erika for the brilliant AJJ theme last month - even though I ran out of time to post some of my pages.

We have a new host at Art Journal Journey this time - welcome to Vicki who has 'Into The Light' as her chosen theme. As Vicki says there are so many ways to approach this theme! Please read her post on the Art Journal Journey blog.

I made a page using an Aall and Create stamp designed by Bipasha.

My background was made with spritzed distress ink on an acrylic block. I stamped some extra lightbulbs, coloured them with Inktense watercolour pencils and drew in the wires. I also used parts of the main stamp to add more dots and text.
The words are my own attempt at some lettering

The evenings are definitely getting lighter. I hope you can join us at AJJ this month. If you need to look the Dreaded Rules are here.

Thanks for looking, Chris

  1. I LOVE those light bulbs and I adore the stamping. I only wish I could stamp half as well as you. This is a very clever and fun entry for Vicki's theme at AJJ, dear Chris.

  2. Those are great light bulbs Chris. They make
Me think of a summer party. ❤️. Seeing it’s still cold and snowy, let there be summer and a party. Happy February. This is a great page for Vicki’s challenge. Hugs Erika

  3. Wow, what a stunning image! Really love those bulbs hanging from the branches! The colors are so delicate as well! I agree with Erika about a summer party...yes please! :) Thanks for sharing your brilliant page!

  4. Your block lettering is really good! Love those light bulbs. Clever to hang extra ones from the branches. Very pretty! :)

  5. We had some solar lightbulbs to hang in the trees. Love the colors on your page.

  6. Adore the concept it also reminds me of lighting the skies at night, late Spring, early Summer and garden parties. There's an abundance of warmth in your page Chris. Thanks for the inspiration.
    Hugs Tracey xx
