Just My Type

Hi everyone, I enjoyed my trips to the Countryside at Art Journal Journey last month. Thanks to Alison for hosting a lovely Summer theme.

It's time to stay in for a while - just as well as the weather has cooled down a lot here - I went out in a coat on Thursday and yesterday!

We are lucky to have Neet guide us through this month where she is hosting the 'Type' theme.

I have a couple of Typewriter stamps (probably more if I could find them)

I used one by Aall and Create (Bipasha's design) for my page

My background with made with splodges and splashes using Distress Oxides - Cracked Pistachio, Speckled Egg, Ground Espresso and Vintage Photo.

I used Print Shop to alter a photo of hubby (taken on one of our Garden visits) He is definitely my type!

I'm not sure but I think the old typewriter lettering is a Kaisercraft set.

Please visit the Art Journal Journey blog where you will find some rules and regs about sizes and about what is accepted - we are mainly an Art Journaling blog.

You will also find lots of help and inspiration from Neet as well as some inspiration from the Admin Team.

Thanks for looking, Chris

  9. Aaaww how nice that your husband is your type, and that is a good photo.
I learned to type on a typewriter like this one (it was ancient when I used it and was the only one around) and I love the messy font at the top of your picture, reminds me of what the ancient typewriter did.

  12. Oh, my gosh, what a fun page and take on the ‘TYPE’ theme, Chris! I love how you’ve gotten your man’s photo on your page and how he is in living color and the typewriter and type are monochromatic. Great contrast for interest. Those are such great type letters with the messy ribbon marks. Just like it was in real life some times. Great background too. LOVE this page!
