A Single Flower

My Goodness, here we are - it's March already and it's time to welcome a new host and a new theme at Art Journal Journey!

This month Sheila of Orange Esmeralda blog has chosen the fabulous theme of 'A Single Flower'

I used Aall and Create Janet Klein stencils and cuties.

Those of you that have or have had cats as pets know that they can be quite nonchalant at times! The little miss here is bringing a flower for her kitty - we all know that as she reaches the cat with her single bloom kitty will stand up and walk off - can't you just see it in his eyes?

Never mind I'm sure her Mum will love it!

Thanks for looking, Chris

  1. I had to laugh at this incredibly quirky and clever spread you created for Sheila's theme, Chris. It is cute, and both cats give it two paws up. They totally agree with you. This is a great first entry, dear friend.

  3. Totally fun page, Chris. That cat is so snarky and will definitely be walking away (if it was tuna he/she would not, of course). Such super fun colors, feeling, and flower. The words crack me up. Fun! Hugz

  4. This is terrific, Chris, super fun colourful picture and story. It's a marvellous take on "A Single Flower". Maybe the cat is holding out for a bunch of flowers? - it has a mischievous gleam in its eye. I like the little banner they are balanced on too.
Thanks for a great "Single Flower" today.

  5. Wonderful, Chris. The perfect saying for that little girl. I've only used them with Janet's own words so far, but what a great idea to use the TH words - I do have them :-) That blue in the background (blue is my favourite colour, but mainly cornflower blue) is gorgeous. Such a simple but very effective page. I love it!

  6. What a cute cute page Chris. I love the little lady bringing a flower to her kitty, who will absolutely walk away. But kids still love to do things like that, don't they? Happy new month! Hugs-Erika

  9. I love your journal page Chris and the cutie images you used. One flower can bring so much joy as well as a whole bouquet.
    Stay safe.

  11. Janet's figures are a joy to use aren't they? Haven't done any blogging with them as yet - I am too stuck on having different themes for different albums and slowly running out of albums. But I sure enjoy making the into books.
Seeing this I think I might have a smallish journal somewhere - you have given me the idea to use my figures up in this way. Thank you so much for the inspiration with this cute page.
    Hugs, Neet xx

  13. Ha! The words are so funny. The picture is so sweet, so the words were totally unexpected and had me chuckling. I love how the characters and the banner really pop from the terrific subtle background of the page.
