T Stands for....Taking a walk

I hope everyone is keeping calm and crafting through all this Covid-19 around us!

I have been in my craft room for a little while - in between thinning out our bulging paper work boxes!

I made a tag for Tag Tuesday - where the theme is 'Gold and Silver'
I made a gold and silver gelli plate background on my tag then added a gold heat embossed border. I stamped some stems by Paper Artsy's Tracy Scott and gold heat embossed the largest.
I have been wanting to use this girl for while - she looked perfect for this secret garden.
Oh! and I have made sure the words are stuck down firmly now!

We aren't getting out much, to be honest, I feel safer inside than out, even though we live so close to the river. The other evening we chose to have a later evening meal and take a walk when we thought it would be quieter!
As we walked down we saw youths on bicycles by the narrow path so went round by the road down towards a golf club (You may remember we went there when it was flooded in this post)
It must have been really high for grass to get caught in this tree
It had been a calm warm day
This is where we walked to back in February - look at the debris!
As we looked back we could see someone coming closer behind us so we went over the road to the entrance to a field so that they could pass - which led to us seeing an old friend also out for a walk in the direction we had just returned from so we could chat at a safe distance.
A little further along we saw our first bluebells - I shall miss visiting bluebell woods they year
We passed back under the motorway and past a small residential caravan park with this sign outside
This is the church we see from our apartment
We loved seeing this art done by some children who we see playing sometimes.
We did choose a good time as we hardly saw anyone...but I was glad to be home.

I am joining Bleubeard and Elizabeth for T stands for Tuesday, but....I don't have many drink photos at the moment - I must remember to take more - but I can take you back to Beaune last June.
I did take other photos in this lovely restaurant but I was showing our meal. It was at the start of the heatwave that hit France and it was very hot, we had coke and water while we waited for our meal, and I had to wait for hubby to smile too! Hubby ended up drinking the rest of the bottle of coke!
Happy Days!

Thanks for looking, Chris

  3. It's so nice that you're able to get out safely. I'll be glad when we can go back to restaurants. Looking back on old times will have to do for now. Happy T Tuesday!

  4. That's a beautiful tag. I like how you used embossing powder.

What a long and beautiful walk around where you live, Chris. Such beauty, it's too bad you can't visit the bluebell woods this year. But at least you got to see some on your walk. Signs of the virus are everywhere, aren't they? Wonder if this is our new normal.

T looks like he's more ready to frown than smile in the drink photo. Had to laugh at his expression. Thanks for sharing your walk, your tag, and your water and Coke with us for T this Tuesday. Tell that husband of yours we expect a HAPPY smile next week (grin).

  6. Love your tag Chris! I forgot about making one for my post this week:( It is nice when you are able to get a bit of a walk in and take in some fresh air and scenery other than from your own windows. Keep well, and happy T day!

  9. Fabulous tag and I just love the gold. Gold can turn anything elegant!

Glad that you are still able to go on your walks and even chat with friends. Nothing better than fresh air when you have been isolated in doors for so long. And that church is gorgeous!

    Happy Tea Day,
    Kate

  10. Its a beautiful tag and the found relative was a great choice to visit a secret garden.
It was good that you could get out for a walk, the garden is as far as we get these days, but its best to feel safe.
Take care and stay safe .
    Happy T day wishes.

  11. Loving the tag, very impressive with the golden finish. Nice to see the photographs of your walk too. We usually walk the dogs early in the morning, I think as people are having to stay at home they are not getting up so early and the park near where we live is usually very quiet and people we do see are being very sensible. Take care and happy crafty week, Angela xXx

  12. Your gold tag is very posh indeed. I like it very much.
Thanks for taking me with you on your walk. I am beginning to recognise sections where you have taken me before. Lovely bluebells.
Of course I also like your hubby's whimsical smile.
    Happy T-Day,
Stay safe, stay healthy, stay home,
    Hugs,
    Lisca

  14. Beautiful tag and I liked the Secret Garden girl as I loved that story. Good that you can get out and walk a bit. The scenery is very pretty, but in these unsettling times, as Dorothy said: There's no place like home. Take care and Happy T Day.

  15. I know what you mean about staying home. Today I was actually getting restless, but a mid afternoon walk did help burn some energy. And I love seeing your green and the views near your apartment. Spring is coming even without us out there, and although you might be sad to miss it, I bet you are happy to be safe. Hope it was a nice T day Chris. Hugs-Erika

  16. A secret garden, how nice is that idea, especially now!
Sadly my SD card died, but I saw signs made by kids thanking those who have to go out.
It seems people really get nicer these days, being happy to be more or less healthy.

LOL. Your Hubby is as mine, they just take it that we take pics "for the blog" :-)
As if to say, yeah, it´s her lille hobby, right?

    Hugs from here! Ixx

  17. A lovely tag Chris and your little girl looks perfect surrounded by the tall leaves.
We're not going out - I do miss my walks but I've spent as much time in the garden as possible and I also have a 'run' on the stepper, I'm getting faster every day!
    Take care, Avril xx

  18. It's hard to even go for walks and stay away from people as easily with more people going stir crazy. Looks like it was a pretty walk. :)

  19. Beautiful tag...I like how you used the gold to give it a gilded appearance.
It really is strange now being outside and meeting them on a path. Crossing into the street is often what happens around here. We haven't really traveled outside our little bubble. But even talking with neighbors...at a distance. Sad reality right now. I'm a hugger and toucher when I talk to people. I'm also very extroverted...super hard for me right now.

  20. Nice photos from your walk. Good idea to go later, when there would be less people. I agree with you: I feel safer staying inside my house.

  21. Your tag is awesome Chris !! I love it, the effect of gold is spectacular.
Those landscapes are very beautiful, how lucky you are to live near a river. That church is beautiful, and the kids are very creative these days, poor. I hope all this happens soon, and we can "get out" without danger of contagion. We need to get out.
    I hope you had a happy T-day!
Stay safe and well dear friend, and big hugssss,
    Caty
