Summer is gone!

We saw the sun briefly this afternoon, when we were returning from our walk! The days are gone I think, when we can go out without a coat but I had to unzip it!
The leaves on the trees are changing slowly and some have blown off the trees in the recent winds. The river was running high too with all the rain we have had.
I made this journal page a few days ago but struggled with how to add the quote…..until today. I don't have a favourite season really although I'm not good with extremes of heat so Winter and Summer probably are not so high up my list!
I did realise though that the quote pretty much sums up a life in general. There's so much going on in Autumn!!!
I used Paper Artsy Fresco paints randomly over the page then lots of stamping and stencilling. I stamped PA's Lin Brown and Carabelle Studio's leaves onto some inked card and cut them. I added some rub on gilding
I am joining in again with Elke's theme at AJJ - Landscapes of the Soul.

    Those leaves look great! Lovely quote, too...you were brave to go walking in this wind, though we were in Manchester tonight (for a gig) and it felt really mild compared to sunny (not!) Haydock!

    This is wonderful. The rains came here yesterday, too, and the winds blew a few of the leaves from the trees. Most are still clinging green here, though. I DO love your page and really enjoyed the beauty of the autumn you created. It's a joy to see how much you put into this.

    This one is another stunner - absolutely beautiful with just the perfect quote Chris!
    We have rain and cold weather as well but they forecast warmth and sunshine coming Thursday and will stay for the weekend then. I am looking forward to this - hope they are right!

    Chris, what a lovely art journal page! All the Autumn color and texture is spot on and I love the quote to go along with it! We are still having summer weather; warm and humid, but thankfully not so hot. Recent days have given us lots of sunshine, something we haven't had much of since mid summer.
