Hi everyone, before I get into my post can I say a big Thank You to all those who have wished me well! I am practically back to normal (that would be something - me normal!)and have got back to having some walks.
--------------------------------------
I have had this ready for a few days but with something happening every day I have only just managed to get my photos onto the computer.
It is, of course, my Calendar Journal, which is a tribute to everything arty! I used some Funky Fossil and Stamperia papers and some splashy paint, my artist is a Tim Holtz paper doll.
I am joining in at Art Journal Journey with Aimeslee's 'Anything Goes' theme.
Just a reminder too that Elizabeth is Guest Designer at Try It On Tuesday this time for our 'Make It Colourful' theme.
Here is last month's spread all filled in.Now for my Tea Stands For Tuesday pic! Hubby and I went to a Makers Market last week in Knutsford which gave us a chance to visit one of our favourite places for coffee even though it is called The Tea Room.
More from France
We went to visit the castle, the best this for m was the English garden which was full of Foxgloves I sat and sketched while hubby explored the outside of the castle
The ground floor of the castle was open to visitors and also housed a doll museum which was fascinating. We couldn't find out anything about ALAIN.
After a lovely day this is what we saw from our veranda at the Gîte
Glad you are feeling better and more normal! great photos from France and what a sight from your veranda.
ReplyDeleteJosselin looks really interesting. I love the Tudor style houses.
ReplyDeleteThe doll museum looks great fun.
What beautiful views from your gite! Looks like the horizon is on fire!
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
Good to hear you are feeling better. I love the Japanese traditional court dolls (and their furniture and possessions) that are used for Girls’ Day in March. I think that’s what a lot of the ones in your photo are — though there are also dolls that appear at other holidays as well. I wonder if the museum had labels that let one know the context for these dolls.

So glad to hear you're feeling better. What a beautiful post! That stainless window is extraordinary
ReplyDeleteThat's good news that you are getting around better Chris. I love your latest calendar too. Those images are great. It's great to see more photos from France too. That fireplace is amazing. Not only is it huge, but the details in the top part are amazing. I hope you had a great T day. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI would have been by earlier, but I ate something yesterday that made me very sick. Now I'm trying to visit around bouts of nausea, etc.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to read you are doing so much better. You are now truly on the mend.
Your latest calendar spread is fabulous. I love the idea of all things arty. You put my calendar pages to shame. This is perfect for Aimeslee's theme at AJJ.
What a gorgeous old castle. I love the turrets. I was impressed by the doll collection. Simply amazing photos, including from your veranda.
What an adorable mug in which you received your Americano. Thanks for joining Bleubeard and me for T this Tuesday, dear Chris.
Wonderful photos!
ReplyDeleteLoved the photos fro your holiday, you have the most interesting photos and holidays.
ReplyDeleteYour calendar is fabulous. What a great idea and the bottom edge is so full of colour and so many art related things, it really is a feast for the eyes.
Good to hear you are improving, and getting about more again. I thought my leg was healed, well the cut bit is but I now have a lot of pain on it and trouble walking. Strange how it never hurt when I did it.
Anyway you take care and I might see you in Ruthin soonish.
Hugs, Neet xx
