Hi everyone, it's been a hectic week with a reward yesterday afternoon.
Lots of medical stuff along with helping a friend out, shopping and lots of general stuff that involved form filling. Yesterday afternoon I met up with my friends Sarah and Helen at a new(to us) coffee shop for little bit of coffee shop journaling (it may also have involved some coffee and cake!)
I hadn't had much time to complete any journal pages for Neet's 'In Gear' theme at Art Journal Journey so today I used one of the backgrounds I have been making.
As you can see it was a splodgy kind of background and I stamped some Lavinia Stamps gears and clock faces randomly over the page. I also stamped an Aall and Create Bipasha hourglass, which I also stamped, coloured the main image and fussy cut before sticking it in place on the page.I cut a clock image from my Stamperia Lady Vagabond papers and then added some metal gears that my friend Helen gave me yesterday.
I felt it needed a word added TIME at the top.
Here are a few pics from yesterday
This was just before we tidied everything away, as you can see the cafe was emptying - there were some people on tables just out of sight.
I saved one for Tuesday!
Thanks for looking, Chris
Great to see Sarah looking well (I don't know Helen but I am sure she looks well too) and some small table crafting!! the macarons look lovely. thanks for your recent trip to Kew!
ReplyDeleteIt must be fun to have some journaling time with friends. I haven't been done that in a long time. And that is a cool page Chris. I love everything about your page-the background, the big clock, the hourglass, and the gears. The lilies add such a nice pop of color and softness. Happy new week to you. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteIt is always fun to do crafting with friends!! Looks like a great time. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely to see Helen as I haven't seen her for quite some time. Good to see Sarah with that wonderful laugh of hers which is always there. Bet you had an absolute blast, the three of you.
ReplyDeleteWell, your page may have started off splodgy but it ended up looking beautiful. I do like the addition of some pretty flowers with anything steampunky and that stamp of Bipasha's is so evocative and perfect for this era.
Love all the gears and the time pieces, especially the large square one with the gears in its centre.
A fabulous page Christ, thanks for joining in again at AJJ this month.
Hugs, Neet xx
