Hi everyone, it's good to be home, even though we've seen more rain in the last two days than we have seen over the last three weeks!
It's definitely Autumn and so is our new theme at Try It On Tuesday. The Design Team have some fabulous ideas to inspire you so please take a look here!
I made a journal page, we have had to drive behind so many tractors recently that I decided that this tractor had to feature on a page. It is quite a long stay so I stamped it in two halves.
The tractor is on some book paper about wheat products from an old college text book. The sentiment and scarecrow are from a Crafters Companion set. The background was made by scribbling some NeoColourII watercolour crayons and blending them with a wet paint brush. I added some inky stencilling and reverse setncillimg through a Funky Fossil stencil that is called knitwear but reminded me of wheat ears.I wrote the Autumn Harvest Time with a Gel pen.
I hope you will read the rules and guidelines here, they are quite simple to follow, and join us this month with your own 'Autumn' creations.
Thanks for looking, Chris
If my brain worked fully this would have been a scheduled post instead of me realising halfway through the day that it hadn't published! Chris
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love driving behind tractors....This happens a lot here, too! Lovely journal page, wonderful Autumn colours. Give yourself a break! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your autumn with us. Chris, aloha
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the hay bales and the scarecrow. The tractor is a staple in autumn here, too. This is a great entry for autumn.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great piece for autumn at TIOT Chris. I love the tractor image a lot, and it is certainly an autumn view too. Hugs-Erika

What gorgeous colors, that background is just perfect to showcase the black fall images. I also looked at your vacation photos, oh my gosh! What a wonderful adventure wit so many great highlights. I do hope to visit France some day. Thanks so much for having me as your guest at Try it on Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteI love the tractor image and how you've finished off the bottom of the page with the scarecrow image, it's a great background and does really look like corn.

Fab journal page Chris, love your tractor ! Most of the tractors round us are enormous, huge wheels much higher than me, bit intimidating when I'm just on a very narrow footpath and they come thundering past, got to love the country life though !

What a lovely Autumn page Chris, reminds me of my childhood with the tractors digging up and collecting Autumns harvest. Not so many seen now as the land has been taken over with more and more residential builds :( so sad.
ReplyDeleteLove the addition of the knit stencil, really resembles wheat.. Fabtastic!!
Happy October crafting Hugs TRacey x
