A single flower

Hi everyone, we are having a day in - fortunately it is raining so I'm not sorry!

Yesterday I met friends for lunch - we have been friends since our children were babies. We used to meet every month but that has stretched to every six weeks as we have got older..and sometimes we don't all make it!

The meal here in our Dining Room was very nice and it was good to see people we hadn't seen for a while.

My journal page for Aimeslee's Flowers theme at Art Journal Journey is a single flower - a Crafty Individuals stamp designed by Sharron Bates. It is one of my favourite flower stamps and a definite 'go to' for a quick card

I stamped it onto a piece of card that I had been testing some Mica powders on - I trimmed it and stuck in to my page. I stamped the flower again and coloured it with water colours and fussy cut and stuck it on.
I used some washi tape to make a frame and covered the join with some narrow gold washi

I went over the stamping with a gold pen and added a couple of words.

We have a busy weekend coming up too, I am meeting up for some Coffeeshop journaling with friends tomorrow and on Sunday hubby's brother and sister in law are opening their garden for charity. It's a beautiful garden and hopefully will raise lots of money.

Thanks for looking, Chris

  9. Thank you for your visit Chris. So far I have tried the gelatos on paper, collages paper and over gesso. Unless you thoroughly cover it, it seems to activate with water even after drying. Love your single flower on your next post. Angela no #25
