Storage page

Hi everyone, I have a rather unusual journal page today, it is pasted onto a cereal box.

I have purchased quite a few stencils over the years and one cereal box wasn't enough so when we emptied one recently I set to to decorate another.

Here it is with my reorganised stencils

I decorated the back too

I used lots of scraps of papers I decorated in the past, along with some scraps of leftover designer paper, some under paper from spray box, birthday cards, magazine images, wrapping paper and a Tim Holtz small talk sticker.
A lot of these items would have ended up in the bin if I hadn't 'rescued' them - I am slowly getting through my scrap mountain!

Thanks for looking, Chris

  1. Wow, Chris. I love functional recycling. This is wonderful and I can tell you used a lot of scraps and thought the project through too. Thanks for this creative entry where you gave new homes to your stencils. It's a perfect recycling project for Bleubeard's and my theme at AJJ.

  2. What a wonderful idea, Chris! I think I am going to have to use this for my stencils, too! And not only is it useful, it's absolutely beautiful, too! Both front and back. It's a work of art! Thanks for sharing this and for giving me ideas on how to recycle!!! Hugs, Sharon

  7. Wow, what amazing storage boxes! You decorated them so beautifully and they are perfect; it's such a wonderful way to repurpose the cereal boxes too ☺️. I've missed so much on your blog, it looks like you've been having so much fun out and about looking at all the spring blooms and meeting up with your family. Your pages are gorgeous too, loving the Beautiful Dreamer page and your hubby's fabulous owl flying across the page 😊. Thanks so much for all your kind comments on my blog posts and wishing you a wonderful April! Hugs, Jo x
