All you need is love!

Hi everyone, I have a couple of things to show you. I was also going to show my ICADs but I'll leave them for a separate post.

First a tag for Tag Tuesday.I haven't made any tags for ages and I do love this challenge. Michelle is hosting with her 'Here Comes the Sun' theme.

I used some book paper, my favourite Rubber stampede sun and a Tim Holtz paper doll. I tore off some of the book paper to reveal the yellow tag underneath.

Following the Beatles theme....

My Journal page (in an A6 journal), which is for my 'When We Were Young' theme at Art Journal Journey, has a postage stamp depicting a Mary Cassatt painting.
Mary Cassatt was American but spent most of her life in France, some of that time with Degas

I used Neo colours on the page, blended with a water brush. I used a Tim Holtz stencil tag to add some flowers then added the postage stamp that I stuck onto a piece of book paper with some ricrac and threads.
The scattered flowers are made using Martha Stewart die.
Finally the quote, which sums up what a child means to a mother.

Mary Cassatt made many portraits of mothers with children as well as the social life of women. You can see more of her work here

Thanks for looking, Chris.

  3. That is a great sun tag Chris. That little TH girl is one of his best images. And you created such a lovely page for AJJ also. Mary Cassatt was a wonderful artist that I think so many of us can relate too. I like how you made such a pretty pastel background and added those white flowers. It's very pretty. I hope you're having a nice weekend. Hugs-Erika
