It's not too late...for a greeting and a walk

Hi everyone, I made this page a little while ago when the year was very new and I hope it isn't too late to celebrate.

I used a mop up background that really had gone beyond useful as it was. I gessoed over it all - got a little bit of texture and thankfully a much nicer colour.

Next was some ink through part of a Donna Downey stencil. I stamped the Dina Wakley face and scribble writing and then added some DW dots using Chipped Sapphire distress ink.

The quote is by Paper Artsy's Sarah Naumann. Finally I added some Chipped Sapphire DI around the page.

I am adding this to Art Journal Journey where Erika's theme is 'Lets Face It'

We have a had a bit of to and fro-ing to the doctors and chemists lately but fortunately nothing major - just routine stuff but lots of it!

We have managed a couple of longish walks too this week.

We went to The Carrs on Tuesday before shopping.

It was a cold frosty day but the sun shone and the sky was blue with lots of sky trails that had spread out,

The best thing was that the mud was solid and easy to walk on

This was my favourite - can you see a wolf?

I'll show you where we went on Thursday at T Stands for Tuesday.

Thanks for looking, Chris

  12. I love your page Chris. It looks quite textural with the addition of the squares. One would never know this was a mop up page at all. Who could fail to like one of the faces by Dina?
Enjoyed the pictures from your walking - makes me think we should maybe do a bit more ourselves when at home.
    Hugs, Neet xx
