T Stands for ........ Twinkles!!

Hi everyone, I'm coming to the party late again today - I've been making my last minute Christmas cake ( a recipe I have used for years that has pineapple in it)

I'm giving Paris a miss this week as I want to show you the lights at Dunham Massey (if you remember I showed some of the daylight pics here)

We booked for an early visit and of course there were lots of little children around. Some of the comments we heard made us smile!

We had a hot dog here but hands were too full to take a photo. Must say, we haven't had one for years and don't think we'll be bothering again for a while!

I took advantage of the nearly full moon to give a reindeer a white nose.
The house had series of images projected on to it

The Snowflake garden was one of my favourites

I just had to show my favourite view in the darkness

Finally, because of course I am here for T Stands for Tuesday at Bleubeard and Elizabeth's 'The Altered Book Lover' blog, we had a decadent hot chocolate.
Just right to warm us up!

All there is for me to say now is that I wish you all a Wonderful Christmas Time, and Thank you so much for every single time you visit.
Chris

  1. Absolutely stunning! Beautiful! I have no words. Thank you for sharing that.
When we lived in Bristol, we used to visit the illuminations at Westenbirt Arboretum. A similar set-up.
    Greetings from sunny Spain,
Merry Christmas and a very happy and healthy 2022 to you and yours.

  3. what fabulous photos - some of the settings look like the ones they feature at Kew sometimes, and the full moon was perfectly placed! Hope you have a happy and healthy Christmas and get to see your family where possible. Helen xx

  5. As I was meticulously absorbing every photo you shared, I was thinking of Helen and how close to Kew your light show might be. I saw she already commented and I was delighted to read her answer.

I loved the arches under which T stopped for you to take a photo. They reminded me of what Kew does, at least from Helen's photos. I loved the trees and the way they were lit. Of course, I also loved the snowflakes. They were stunning, too. This was what you might say I was "gobsmacked" from the beauty of the lights and all the candles. Such beauty.

I am glad you were able to stop for some delicious sounding hot chocolate, too. Thanks for sharing your trip to Dunham Massey's light show and your hot chocolate with us for T this Tuesday. At least it's still Tuesday in my world.

  6. Those lights and decorations are amazing Chris. We don't have any gardens around us that do Christmas lighting and decorations, so I would think it is fun to visit one. I just love the artistic shots of the lighted poppies and the lanterns. Wow. Hot chocolate sounds like a good after walk too. Thanks for sharing these. I hope you had a great T and have a wonderful holiday at the end of the week. Hopefully your son and his wife are improving quickly too. hugs-Erika

  8. Gorgeous picures, Chris. TFS! Love all the lights and I can tell it was very festive. I am with you on hot dogs - not eating them again for a long time. Good hot chocolate is hard to beat! Happy late T-day and Merry Christmas. Thanks for all your life shares, lovely pictures, great art, and sweet comments. You are a blessing to me. Hugz

  9. What a festive event! The growing number of Christmas light displays is a joy and makes up for the fact that stores and homes decorate less than when I was a child.

A hot dog every once in a while is enough, I agree. Happy T Day!
