Hi everyone! I'm here with a quick post this evening - I can smell food and suspect it will be ready soon.
We are getting up early tomorrow to visit a new place for us...and there may be a visit to pick up some art supplies too!
I have made a page for Art Journal Journey and Tracey's 'My Favourite Colour is October' and just happened to have found a stamp with those very words - on a freebie stamp set from a magazine that hubby chose(lots of wildlife on it).
My page started with a napkin - I coloured in the white parts with blue water colour paint. I added a few more leaves through a stencil.
I layered the stamped words onto a piece of rice paper and a piece of fabric I found while sorting out my room.
The Tim Holtz paper doll had part of his outfit coloured with distress crayon. I outlined him with pen then decided to outline the leaves too. The berries had their shine brightened with a white pen and I added some little dots and some highlights while watching TV.

What a fabulous page, Chris, so perfect for autumn and Tracey's challenge at AJJ. Enjoy the visit to a new place, can I hope for photos?! I so love seeing all the photos of new and/or lovely places. Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteWow Chris. They just screams autumn in such a beautiful way. I love all the colors. And that man looks dressed to deal with a chill in the air. I also love your layering of paper, and is that cloth too? Hope you are having a great week. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteHow fortuitous you have that freebie stamp. But that is just the tip of the iceberg. There is so very much going on with this beauty. So much detail, too. Of course, anytime there is fabric, I'm in love with it. thanks for this great entry you gave us at Art Journal Journey using Tracey's theme.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I want to know where this place is that you are visiting today (Thursday) and did you find nice art supplies?
ReplyDeleteNow, I first saw this page on Bloglovin' today and i thought "Wow - that is a fab page" and I was delighted to find it was yours and follow the link. It really is lovely, full of autun goodies and so beautifully executed. Fab find by hubby of the magazine (now frantically looking at magazines) that yielded that great stamp for this challenge.
Take care, enjoy, stay safe, Neet xx
