I love this new theme at Try It On Tuesday and I hope you do too!
'Feather Friends' is the title and of course we are talking about birds!
The Design Team have lots of inspiration for you so I hope you will join in with us this time.
If you saw my post yesterday you will know that I love weeds (or wild flowers as I prefer to think of them)These are by Jo Firth Young for Paper Artsy
I used some Dina Wakley sprays for the background, some of which have a light layer of gesso over them. The bird is a Dina Wakley Scribbly bird and he's found some early berries - trouble they're bit hard and he keeps dropping them.
I painted in some grass so they had a soft landing - I'm sure he'll eat them later!
I hope you can join us, the rules(not many)are here and as usual our theme runs for two weeks.
I'll be back with something else exciting tomorrow.
I am also sharing this at Art Journal Journey and Alison's 'Summer Countryside' theme
Thanks for looking, Chris
Such a beautiful page! The little bird looks perfect in the home you made for him 😊. Thanks for the inspiration and wishing you a wonderful week! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteIts a sweet image and a fantastic page Chris for the new TioT's theme and I agree weeds have their own beauty especially if they are the flowering kind.

ReplyDeleteOh my Chris how the TIOT challenges come round quicker than I can stop to blink, fabulous new theme and a fantastic journal creation. That wee bird is one of my favs from Dina, such a happy little chirper.
ReplyDeleteHope I can catch my breathe to play along. Many thanks for the inspiration.

That is a real cute bird you have there. I love how chubby it is - and the background is lovely too with all those berries he is balancing on.
ReplyDeleteTaker care, hope all is well with you both.
hugs, Neet xx
Talk about being behind. I am also having trouble catching up. This is an adorable bird. You have captured the story beautifully with your lovely stamps and background. It turned out great. Thank you for also sharing it with us at Art Journal Journey using Alison's theme, too. It goes so well with both challenges.
ReplyDeleteSuch a charming page... definitely with you on the weeds/wildflowers - if you don't mind the plant being there, then it's not a weed! The tumbled berries lying in the grass are a lovely touch.
