We're welcoming Mia of Craftartista blog with her theme of Butterflies.
There are plenty around at the moment and I expect by the end of the month a lot more will be revealed!
I made my background with distress inks, some spritzed on an acrylic block and some on an Aall and Create stencil. The flowers and stamps are also Aall and Create designed by Tracy Evans.
I added the word 'fly' several times and used the same pen to doodle in some earth for the flowers.
We are looking forward to seeing how many different butterflies there are!
Thanks for looking, Chris
This is a beautiful first entry for this month, Chris. I love those butterflies. They are colored so well, as are the flowers. I was certain "fly" was a stamp until you said you added the words. I could never write even a single word the same way twice, much less six times. Thanks for starting us off great using Mia's theme.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful page, Chris, so light and airy. Love the colours, too. Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteLovely page, Chris. Beautiful butterfly and flowers stamps, and a very interesting background. Great idea to hand write the sentiment. Thank you for joining my challenge at AJJ. Hugs, my friend.
ReplyDeleteYour butterflies are so pretty and look so delicate and transparent...just as real butterfly wings are so delicate. It is such a sweet stamp. Butterflies and flowers...what says Winter is gone better than that. Your page feels so happy.
ReplyDeleteI love the light airy feel of your page Chris. Just like real butterflies You nailed that Chris. And your whole page is amazing. Perfect for the start of a new month. Enjoy JUne. Hugs-Erika

A beautiful page Chris, the butterflies look lovely as they seem to be fluttering around the flowers.

I love this delicate color choice on this butterfly page! I love your art!
ReplyDeleteHappy day, hug Elke
I love these colours! and your hand writing is fabulous. Altogether a beautiful page with the DI background and all those pretty butterflies. x
ReplyDeleteWhat cute butterfly and flower stamps!! I love stamps, though unless they are digital and I can print them out I can never get such crisp solid images like you've done no matter how hard I try. Love this spread.
ReplyDeleteSuch a gentle page using mainly pastel shades for your butterflies. It makes me feel all dreamy and tranquil as I gaze at it. Love the flowers and the little bits of stencilling you have in the background, not to mention the doodling at the base - just the right amount.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Neet xx
Love this, Chris. Beautiful and delicate. Butterflies are so beautiful, aren't they? Off to check your photos!
