T Stands For....trundling along..

Hi everyone, that's just how I feel today I very nearly didn't post at all but while hubby cooks tea tonight I have come here and hope to keep it brief!

Actually, there's nothing going on while we are still under lockdown conditions and tomorrow will be in tier 3 of restrictions.

The news of High Street Shops closing is not good either. By the time I feel safe enough to go shopping there won't be that many places left! I don't think COVID is the only reason, some were already having less customers anyway.

I took some photos from my balcony over the last few weeks including this one of the Christmas cactus that started flowering early again.

It's getting more buds each week and I have high hopes of it going through to Christmas
It was getting darker when I remembered to take a final photo of my Autumn display - it has all gone now, some put away until next year, some to the green bin. Ready for a clean now along with the windows!

Here are some of the trees outside...

..as you can see the wind direction had changed in just a few days
The next few were taken from our kitchen window....
..of the car park and trees beyond

I didn't think I had taken any photos but remembered taking this last Friday. It was a new all in one pot sausage dish with fennell, red onion, parsnips and blackberries - I will try to type up the recipe for next week as it really was delicious!
It recommended mayo on the side and as you can see we had water to drink, which will be my ticket to join Bleubeard and Elizabeth for T Stands for Tuesday!

Thanks for looking, Chris

  2. Oh that Christmas cactus is incredible, Chris. Just beautiful. I also like the vignette you created for autumn. Sadly autumn is a thing of the past, but at least you got a photo.

Beautiful photos from your place. So glad you shared them with us. And although I'm a vegetarian, your meal still looks good. Thanks so much for sharing your Christmas cactus, your autumn decorations, your sausage meal, and your water with us for T this Tuesday, dear Chris.

I do know how you feel today, sometimes I feel that way as well and don't have the energy or incentive for anything...

  4. Your cactus is beautiful. Talk about a lot of buds. That is a small joy in these tough times. You still have a lot of leaves outside of your windows. But it does look like late fall. Still pretty though. And your sausage dish sounds so delicious. Please share the recipe. I am looking for new dishes to spice up life right now. Happy December and hope it was a great T day. Hugs-Erika
