Hi everyone, as promised last week I am going to take you around our area.
I'm starting very close to home - the gardens around our buildings, there are three blocks of apartments of no more than 3 stories high, some are two and there are just a few with no one above them.
The next few are from some of my windows
In the middle of October we had some showers where the sun was shining too - the raindrops on the balcony window looked so beautiful
This is my Autumn display on my balcony that will stay in place until the end of November
This was taken on 15th October
This was taken last week, as you can see there were far less leaves, as we were talking to my SIL and hubby yesterday evening we noticed that the leaves are almost gone. The flowers on the balcony are still going strong.
We didn't go out at all last week but...
...just at the end of the road from our back gate we have a short walk to reach the River Mersey.
On 7th October we had had a lot of rain and the island in the centre of the river had almost been covered
It was time for reflection pic!!
It was time for reflection pic!!
On another day - a little farther afield and we come to...
...the slip road from the motorway....we used the controlled crossing to cross and get to...Wythenshaw Park - we had seen a photo of the beautiful trees here on Local TV in the morning so decided to see for ourselves.
By the time we got here it stared to rain so we went to shelter under a tree instead of walking across to the rebuilt Hall(you may remember it was badly fire damaged)
...passing this patch of around a hundred little mushrooms
It was raining quite heavily while we sheltered but when it eased a bit we set off - we were wearing waterproof coats.
I though you might like these photos of the Gate House.
So that was October - we decided to have treat on 1st November - Roast chicken Sunday lunch delivered to our door and it's time to share our drink with you at Bleubeard and Elizabeth's T Stands for Tuesday at The Altered Book Lover blog
Our drink was water - as you can see we have moved our table to get a better light over the Winter, the first time was have thought of doing this, only thing is we sit side by side.
In front of me you can see a jigsaw puzzle I am about to start!
I hope you enjoyed this visit to my area.
Thanks for looking, Chris
Thank you for showing us your world! Your food looks good to!

I loved seeing all the amazing autumnal leaves, they look so beautiful! With all the winds we've had this weekend I think a lot of the trees have lost their leaves around us and we won't have much to look at on our walks so I really enjoyed seeing all your photos - perfect 😀. The view over the field with all the different coloured foliage is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing and wishing you a very Happy T Day! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place that you live. It reminds me of how all the heroines in the Jane Austen novels like to take walks through the countryside. I can see how your country would entice me to take long walks by myself. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Kate
