T Stands for ........taking you back to Dunham!

Hi everyone! As promised I am taking you somewhere familiar today!
Dunham Massey was the last place we visited before lockdown!
Now we have to book online to visit and we had to wait for a slot to be available on the day we wanted!

Once again we had to show our tickets and give our names.

We headed straight past the folk feeding ducks by the path toward the Winter Garden!

One lone Rhododendron hanging on!

We went into a side gate(one way system) so got to see down here

A cheeky little rabbit helping himself.
We gave the Orangery a miss.
The yew hedge is recovering from a big cut back!

This yew hedge is looking even better..but what's going on over the hedge - not a priority obviously!

First we saw the young stag, then a younger looking female ran across!
There were swallows all around but only managed on decent pic...
...really speeding along!

It's sad to see the visitor centre and cafe closed!

Up this path and back to the car park!
I love seeing thistles now, although never liked them popping up in our garden!
We decided that by going so early we would wait till we got home for a drink so to join Bleubeard and Elizabeth for T Stands For Tuesday this week.....
...here is the meal we had delivered last night...
...another of Kasia's fabulous pork schnitzels with veggies and lots of potatoes (I saved some to have with mushroom and egg for this morning's breakfast!)

Thanked for looking, Chris

  4. How exciting that you get to go back, and it's a comfort they're taking care in their re-opening. The gardens are gorgeous, and to be honest I find it encouraging that even in professionally well-managed gardens some areas are not manicured ;) Your meal looks delicious. Happy T Tuesday!

  6. Those gardens are beautiful. I'm glad they're open again, even if it's one way and you need to schedule time slots to go there. But I was surprised to see the deer in there. I guess they know where the good eating is to be had. Your food looks delicious. Happy T-Day!

  7. What a lovely garden tour. I have not gone to our local arboretum yet. You have to make an appointment and can only travel certain paths in certain directions. That's a little too restrictive for me to enjoy at this point.
    Happy T day!

  11. Lovely, lovely photos! Thanks for sharing. I want to be there! During this time our favorite pick up and bring home meal are chicken strips, but huge, not strips at all, broccoli & rice casserole, and the best house salad with boiled eggs, cheese, croutons, tomato, and different lettuces. We like honey mustard on the salad and on the chicken. They send croissants with frosting dripped on them. We usually make it all last two nights. It is all so delicious. It is a treat, because I sure get tired of cooking every night, even with my hubby grilling some nights. Don't you wonder if it will ever be over! Happy T Day!

  12. Those flowers are beautiful and you have shared another nice place to walk. It must be a great escape from this covid-19 walking among flowers and the other beautiful garden views. And your schnitzel looks very yummy. Hope it was a wonderful T day. Hugs-Erika

  14. I finally got back online late last night, but gave out after about four hours. My eye just couldn't take any more until it rested. Thanks for joining this week's T party. Next week we will use Inlinkz because you can remove your link and start over again if you make a mistake Be sure to use ONLY your name in the "caption" and not your blog post, please.

I loved seeing the photos from the Dunham Gardens. For the most part, they look like that have been well taken care of. You are blessed to be able to visit these places. Many of our sites are still on lockdown due to our Governor pulling back.

How nice to see your meal. I'm still doing all my cooking. Just don't feel like I can afford to get take-out yet. I know what's in my meals, not what's in take out. Thanks for sharing your trip, your food, your water with us for T this week, dear Chris.

  15. Thank you for the beautiful garden tour. I love English gardens. They are so lush compared to our landscape here. I love to see all those hostas. How on earth do they keep the slugs away? I did not see one bite out of them.
That pink clematis is a beauty too. A joy to the eye.
The gunnera are impressive as always. The whole place is beautiful!
Oh yes, and those schnitzels look divine!
    Have a good week,
    Lisc

  18. Lovely photos, Chris. I guess all the COVID restrictions make it easier to get shots without any people in them.

    Your schnitzel meal look delicious!

    Happy T-Day! Hugs, Eileen
