Hello everyone, another week has flown by...when we thought it might drag a bit!
The trees outside our balcony window really have been enjoying the warmer weather! We had a sprinkle of rain on Saturday and a little bit of cloud on both days at the weekend but we are back to clear blue now!
Of course with the leaves come the loss of our long view, along with some welcome shade!
On Sunday we had some entertainment - a singing duo are giving us free concerts every other Sunday and they have already been booked for a paid performance for our 'coming out' party - whenever that might be!
This is from our balcony but they also set up in the courtyard in front of our kitchen window so we went out for a dance on the walk way - I tried to get a video but ruined it by not keeping still - they play music through from the 50's to the 80's - hard not to dance - at least there was more room there than on our balcony!
I have started knitting again, in the evenings mainly, and have already completed a scarf for my friend. This one will be for me!
I'm loving the pattern this random yarn is making!
I am taking part in the 100 day project with some bird related mail art - I will make a separate post!
Here's one of my favourites.
As you can see, I am not getting on the computer very much these days -I have started another tidy up of my craft room!
We are still enjoying cooking, if only I could get more flour I could bake more, but then I wouldn't be losing weight, yes I am!
My blood sugar is also at much better levels too.
Today I used some leftover chicken to make Caesar salad wraps for lunch - I was quite pleased with them...
I am of course joining Bleubeard and Elizabeth with our water for T Stands For Tuesday!
I hope you are all keeping busy enough to distract yourselves from not being able to see loved ones, socialise and as we often do here on Tuesdays, eat out!!
Take care, best stay safe than the alternative!
Thanks for looking, Chris
Lovely photos and our food looks good. Glad you hd some entertainment, sounds like fun. Happy T Day, take care, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteBy the way, your link at Elizabeth's links back to your previous post!
Enjoyed your photos-our trees are in about the same stage-just beginning to open up leaves-the black walnuts are usually the last to green up. and I found another lilac bush on our property-or I think it is- a different variety will know more once it blooms.
ReplyDeletevery nice to have music nearby--can you order in flour online? here I buy 25 pound bags and break it down into gallon ziplok bags.
Love your bird art anxious to know more about that project
Happy T Kathy
lovely photos of your surroundings, and how nice first of all to see all the forget me nots, and also to be entertained by these two musicians/singers. Makes things in our strange daily life seem so much better for a bit.
ReplyDeleteYour lunch looks absolutely delicious- and hubby ate every bite I bet:):)
Love your birdie decorated envies. Keep well, and happy T day!
Its so lovely to see the trees coming out in leaf, soon everything will be green and fresh, such a beautiful time of year! How lovely to have the duo sing for you all, such fun and a great way to brighten your day 😁. Your wraps looks delicious and your hubby laugher and smiling face is contagious ...lol 😉. Thanks for the smiles and Happy T Day wishes! Keep well! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of the outdoor concert ~ How nice. Your wrap looks yummy ~ I love the decorated envelope project, very pretty and your knitting is terrific too. Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteYou live in such a lovely place and the view from your balcony is wonderful. That is great they are still doing concerts and that you can hear them while still maintaining social distance.
ReplyDeleteYour meal sounds and looks yummy!
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
You have a delightful view from your balcony, and to think of being serenaded -so sweet! Some people are really going the extra mile to help cheer people up. It's heartening :)
ReplyDeleteHappy T Tuesday!
What a nice set of photos. And that's great that the singing duo comes to entertain people, and are now booked for the "coming out" party. I like the large number of forget me nots growing under that tree. Happy T-Day!
ReplyDeleteYou may not have been on your blog, but you have really been busy, dear. You may not have been doing much baking, but you are doing great on the cooking and leftovers, as well as crocheting, too. I was surprised to see people outside without masks. Most people here are wearing them when outside.
ReplyDeleteYour meal looks wonderful. I would eat that in a heartbeat. Thanks for sharing your time with us by showing your wonderful trees, the courtyard and views from your window. Thanks, too for sharing your's and T's meal as well as your water with us for T this Tuesday, too, dear Chris.
Oh you have real spring already. You are definitely ahead of us, but then we seem to be behind everyone other than the Arctic. And nice knitting. You seem like you are busy and enjoying yourself, and that is a good thing. I hope you had a wonderful T day Chris. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteLovely photos Chris, the trees will soon be covered with greenery. The singers must have been a welcome change to the day.
ReplyDeleteThe art project sounds interesting , `100 days, now that would be a big ask for me , good for you.
The wrap you made looked delicious.
Belated happy Tea Day wishes.
Stay safe.
Yvonne xx
You have such a lovely view!
ReplyDeleteSo many people are cooking and baking again or learning for the first time. Nice! :)
Oh entertainment!! that's so cool! love seeing your photos, it's always fun to see where you've been and what you are up to! take care, and keep up the good work losing weight!!
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed my visit to your blog. Your little birdy card is so sweet. And I am sure your friend will love the scarf.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to have those views of the trees going through their changes, and musical entertainment laid on too. I think your wraps look very tasty, whatever your husband found so hilarious about them.
ReplyDeleteThe scarf is looking great - what wonderful colours - and I just adore your subtle bird mailart envelope - perfect collaging, and more of that rather lovely colour combination.
