Hello all! I'm popping in quickly with a new journal page for Valerie's 'Geometric Shapes' theme at Art Journal Journey.
Having seen that some folk are still ignoring instructions, not suggestions, to stay at home I have made a page with a message!
I used lots of stencils and a few stamps - the letters are the only ones that aren't Aall and Create.
I paper pieced the house and added silver pen to the clouds.
If you know anyone who is tempted to go out to a public place at the weekend PLEASE tell them not to!
We are hoping for better weather in the UK this weekend so more time on our balcony for us.
Thanks for looking, Chris
Same problem here, some people just do what they want. We're expecting good weather, too, and the police will be doing extra controls and many parks have been closed. Love the journal page and the important message, let's hope it helps. Thanks for linking to AJJ again, much appreciated. Enjoy your balcony time! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThis is a fascinating work from you! It is the same everywhere that some do not think they have to stay at home and meet in groups. Good news is your journal!
ReplyDelete*Stay at home*
all the best and stay healthy!
Greetings Elke
I simply LOVE your journal page! I don't understand what all does it have to take for some people to realize COVID-19 is note a joke.... anyways, stay safe at home.

Fantastic background Chris, and really important message for sure! You created a page with lots of great shapes for Valerie's challenge. Thanks for sharing with us at AJJ Chris. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI love your page-this is a big complaint of mine as well-Please Stay Home to Save Lives-I don't understand why people will not do this. stay safe-hugs Kathy
ReplyDeleteWow Chris. I think this is amazing. I love how you pieced the house together. I think the message is timely and certainly on topic. The police are starting to fine people who disobey the shutdown in my city. I'm glad you are calling attention to the problem. Stay safe, dear friend.
ReplyDeleteGosh Chris. My brain must have slipped its track. I forgot to thank you for sharing this with us at Art Journal Journey using Valerie's theme. DUH!
ReplyDeleteGreat page! Important message too - if people still continue to flout the instructions it will only get tougher for everyone. We can but hope... take care
ReplyDeleteIt is a fantastic page Chris and a message that should be taken notice of by everyone. No excuses for not staying home except to follow the guidelines we have been given.
ReplyDeleteAs for driving to the countryside to take a walk, they should be locked up, oops I'm on the soapbox now, where do folks brains go to.
Take care and stay well and thank you for linking to Valerie's Art Journal Journey page.

Lovely art piece and good message. Unfortunately there seem to be bad apples everywhere, failing to follow the rules.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant page, Chris and great message, too! I know someone who was arranging for tradesmen to come in this week...it's crazy how some people just insist on knowing better, isn't it? They think it's just common sense but the problem is that everyone's common sense and judgment differ and they don't all take other people into consideration. It really is worth following instructions and keeping everyone safe. Good that you're finding ways to make use of your isolation time... me, too! It's really hard to encourage some people to play therapeutically, though! I have that stamp - unused - somewhere in my craft room - and a couple of other houses, too. You've inspired me.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you and keep you safe!

Beautiful page! I love the softness of your stenciled background 😁. It's such an important message and one many people don't seem to be taking any notice of! As you know, we live by the sea and now have police patrolling the beachfront as it seems people are treating these troubled times like a holiday and arriving here in their cars heading to the beach. We are staying at home out of the way ...lol 😉. Wishing you a happy weekend! Stay safe and well! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteLots of people spending lots more time at home. I love this page! :)
ReplyDeleteA great page Chris, love the little house and I hope folks take the message on board, makes you wonder where their common-sense is.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend and stay safe.
Hugs, Avril xx
