Try something new for TIOT!

I hope you are feeling adventurous as today at Try It On Tuesday we are asking you to Try A New Technique.
The Design Team have already got me thinking about what I can do next!

I had to have a think about this challenge, as materials permitting, I have tried a lot of different techniques!
Something I saw on TV started me off(I can't remember where) and I have been using wherever I can since I started a few weeks ago!
No...it's not using the napkin image, which is attached to my page with multi medium, nor is it using little circles to echo my image...and it's not the doodling around the edge of the page, although all of these are very satisfying to do!

The new technique is using Brushos on my gelli plate!
I shook some colours over my gelli palate, spritzed and then rubbed the paper on top.
I'm really pleased with the bright colours...and of course no print is the same!
I have made some things using the same technique with these...
I'll show you those soon!

I hope you can take part this time. The TIOT challenge runs for the usual two weeks. I wonder if you can persuade me to try the technique you use!

Thanks for looking, Chris

  1. Ooh, I suppose Gel would be almost as good a surface as glass... what a great idea, Chris. Another one for my 'list' :-) though I'm rarely happy with my prints, which puts me off more than it should!
I love tulips, too...mine are coming up nicely and I really hope they'll be as gorgeous as they were last year. The colours actually excited me, lol - ridiculous!
Glad you're using up your stash, too...I'm enjoying using mine.

  2. I love what you made, even though I have no brushos. This was really clever.

  3. What a fabulous idea and a great way to use those beautiful Brushos! I love the resulting background, it looks amazing and is the perfect canvas for your napkin and little circles - perfect 😁. Thanks so much for sharing this technique with us today and wishing you a wonderful week! Hugs, Jo x

  4. I don't own Brushos but this looks like a fun way to play- and use the gelli plate in a different way. Beautiful page Chris! Thanks for sharing.

  5. This is a super new idea Chris, I'd not thought of using brusho in this way. Your page looks beautiful and such pretty flowers.

  6. I don't use my Brushos often enough Chris, so this has given me a prompt to try again. I love how these backgrounds have turned out and the journal page is fabulous.

  12. Brushos on the gelli plate looks like lots of fun (messy fun, but definitely fun!)... and your tulip page is so full of colour and sunshine... it's fabulous.

Sorry I've been absent for ages - life just a bit busy! - but looking forward to doing some catching up over the next few days.
